Our Verdict
You’re given a 3×3 gameboard and each tile has a task to complete such as using the app to order ahead. You get Stars for matching two tiles and also for completing your game board. You’re given one skip which means you don’t need to complete that task (you don’t get any stars when using that skip, but it’ll still count towards a match and completing the board. My usual advice with these sort of promotions is just to enroll and do your regular spending and then closer to the promotion end date you can see if it might make sense to complete some requirements you normally wouldn’t.

You get to skip 1 to complete the matches. So I received 345 out of 350 possible stars
Ok, so I completed all but 1 tile/challenge. My progress bar at bottom of board showed 175 stars out of 375 . However, my stars have not been applied yet.
Too late DoC, it is OVER. 6/21/3020 was the last day.
It says the promo is over
I have met a few of the challenges but no stars are showing up. Been to different Starbucks and still nothing. I don’t think it works. Customer service said they’ll help me, but I’ll need to show them all my purchases. Not much of a game.
It doesnt work in inline stores (Target, Harris Teeter,etc.) So make sure you’re going to a store that participates. So far I’m killin it, I have 4 matches already. I like games where I win stars because i actually win! On the Starbucks for life game I NEVER win anything good so its always a let down. Im an avid Starbucks customer so this match game is a breeze.
My husband is eligible to play the game but I’m not?! So eligibility is not location-based. I’m so annoyed as I enjoy playing these games. Well, Starbucks loss.
Mine doesn’t say I’m not eligible but it’s not logging my purchases. I take screenshots of my history and should have had at least 3 tiles marked but nothing. I’ve emailed customer service but no response in 3 days. It would be nice if they made sure it would actually work.
Will this work if I make “purchases” with all my starland stars? Would be fun to churn starbucks for stars.
In my experience from other promotions, using stars, without any charge to your Starbucks card, does not count towards promotion requirements. I would assume that is the case with this promotion. This promotion does not seem that great for people that only go for the occasional cup of coffee. The card I clicked on said I get bonus stars if I spend $10+ in a single transaction.
