Our Verdict
Nice savings. There are other deals that come up occasionally for anyone to get Walmart+ at big discounts, such as Amex Offers. Amex Platinum members always get Walmart+ for free.
Note: With Walmart+ Assist, qualifying government assistance recipients of SNAP, WIC, Medicaid & more can always get a W+ membership for just $6.47/month or $49/year.
Instacart+ is more valuable than this either way
Instacart needs tipping/bribe. Walmart+ is a lot more like Prime.
Instacart, for the vast majority of stores, inflates pricing significantly. Even if they had no fees or tips, they’d be making a killing.
if you go to switch to the student version it will prorate your previous walmart+ purchase. Was able to extend my current membership that was subsidized with a CC offer by 7 months for net $20
So sign up for a reg membership with the Amex offer, then switch to a student membership?
Exactly what I did and worked out like a charm. Hence why I chose to share with the group.
This should only work if you are at least halfway through your current annual membership then. Otherwise you’ll end up with a refund, and AmEx is known to claw back offers after refunds.
