- Earn 3% thereafter on the first $2,000 spent monthly on office supply stores and fuel purchases after first year
- Earn 1% cash back on all other purchases

Our Verdict
Not sure if this reports to your personal credit report or not. $200 isn’t a huge bonus, but the spend requirement is just a single purchase and the 5% categories should be useful to some readers (although there are cards that earn 5% on office supply stores and fuel purchases long term).
Hat tip to plturner
Just called the Business Customer Service number and rep said you can no longer apply for Business CCs by phone
5% grocery stores… hmm eyes gift cards and plastiq’s fee
What’s the phone number to call in order to apply for this card?
Remember if you have a Suntrust banking account you get an extra 10%. They usually have a checking up for churn
Is there link with more info for this? Seems almost too good to be true!
NVM, here’s the info on SunTrust site: https://www.suntrust.com/small-business-banking/business-credit-cards
The extra 10% is only if rewards are redeemed into a SunTrust business checking account. So, in effect, it is 5.5% rewards on office supply store purchases and gas for the first 12 months.
are SunTrust cards churnable?
I applied for the SunTrust business card two weeks ago. Contacted customer service reguarding business credit card reports on personal or business credit report. I was told business credit card reports on business credit report.
Meaning, if you file under a sole proprietorship, it will report to your personal credit report?
I just applied for this by phone and was told by a branch manager that it will report to personal CRs since we are considered the guarantor. Though, that applies to all business CCs even ones that don’t report so I guess we will see.
Keep us updated if that happens or not
I haven’t actually completed the application process. It sounds like they want to report to your personal CR unless you have substantial business history and earnings. I was told that “since my business is so new, it will report to my personal CR.”
I told the rep that I won’t apply unless I’m guaranteed that it won’t show up as a new account. They asked if I have filed Schedule C, I said no. So I’m awaiting a guarantee that they will use my TIN for the app and that it won’t report to my personal CR.
