Our Verdict
This seems like a good deal for the $100 from Swagbucks. And even the second $100 from Path seems like a decent deal – risk $100 being held in an unsecured account for 90 days in order to get $100 of Bitcoin. Personally I usually keep away from crypto deals as I haven’t gained a comfort level with how it all works.

I received both SB bonus and BTC bonus. Now I want to close my Path account.
When I clicked “Close account” in the Profile section in the app, it did not do anything.
The account could not be closed by this, at least as of now.
Anyone else has the same issue?

I was about to file a FINRA complaint, but the $100 bonus finally reflected in my self-directed account. Total value is currently $112 + $178 = $291 total. Add $100 for the MP promo and this turned out to be a very nice return off $110 initial deposit ($281 return).
Not for me:( Still zero.

A few days ago I received an email from Path saying the bonus was deposited into Self-directed account, however I did not see it there. I sent them an inquiry, days later they responded saying again it was deposited into the self-directed account on 11/28. However my self-directed account remained zero.

favo🔗 They’ve been saying for the past month due to technical issues the bonus doesn’t appear on the app but it can be viewed on the back-end by their support. They’ve been saying their engineers have been working on the issue, but a month later it’s still there.
I was able to successfully withdraw all my funds including the bonus and suggest you do the same. I made a post below a couple of days ago outlining the steps I took.

I eventually got paid out, it took some time but I got the $100 (plus $50 due to jump in crypto value),
my withdrawal got bounced back to path. seems to be difficult to get the funds withdrawn to my bank account

I was able to withdraw all my funds including the $100 bitcoin bonus.
Their app is not very user friendly and needs a lot of work, however their support was able to guide me through the process. I also was unable to see the bitcoin bonus in my account despite receiving a message that I had earned it. When I inquired further, support sent me a screenshot from their end showing that it was deposited into my self-managed account.
1: Close the managed portfolio account (there is an option on that screen to do it).
The funds will then be transferred to the self-managed account.
(Also it appears that the $5/month fee ended up getting deducted during this transfer. For me it was $15 total as I had the account for 3 months)
2: On the self-managed account screen, convert all funds to USD
(Once I did this, the self-managed account showed a zero balance, however the USD
amount was visible in the transaction history)
3: Send a message to support that you would like to withdraw all of your funds to your connected bank account. At this point, I was still unable to see the $100 bitcoin bonus in my account, however support said they would convert that into USD on their end and add it to the total withdrawal amount.
Received the deposit into my bank account in 4 business days and the amount is accurate and includes the bonus.
I’ve sent them 20x messages over 3 weeks about withdrawing but so far it’s not in my bank.. the last email they’re claiming it will be processed within the next week.. i mean crypto is at an all time high (it’s a scam) why the fuck do these companies need to be so greedy and scummy still..
Not sure why they haven’t withdrawn your money. They gave me specific instructions that I needed to do prior to asking them to withdraw funds, which I listed above.
i wrote to them because like many people the app is broken and I was unable to view anything inside the app. after closing account the entire app went blank.. can’t see or view anything.

Yes, that’s what mine says and it’s from Path.
im sure we were scammed. i never saw the 100 deposited in my account but the customer service said some people cant see it. furthermore when i went to transfer out my funds they disappeared. i followed their directions to swap to self directed and change to usd. after i did that, poof gone. i have seen that we could file complaints through finra if we need to. i have contacted customer serivice on path too and i have not gotten a response.
Several days ago I received a notice in the Path app saying the $100 was deposited into self-directed account several days ago due to some display error. But it did not show up under either the managed or the self-directed portfolio. I just checked it was still not there. Sent them a message to inquire.
wouldn’t advise keeping any funds with this company. I’d love to Coinbase or withdraw ASAP.. there’s some really sketchy stuff with Path
This app is absolutely horrid, and customer service is nonexistent. They took my $200, didn’t invest it in anything, and then when I went to withdraw it to close up the account, it got sent to a crypto wallet that I never set up. Scam of a company.
Trent I’m also trying to figure out what’s happened. It took an incredible amount of nagging to get them to deposit the $100 bonus. After it got added.. I requested to close it. Ever since then 1 week ago there has been no reply from support.. and the app doesn’t even allow me to log in anymore.
Question: What would be the best federal agencies to file complaints with for Path?
How did you find out that your money was sent to a crypto wallet? My Path account was linked to my bank account and I was told (a week+ ago) that it would be withdrawn to my bank account.
