The Fine Print
Our Verdict
Assuming you cancel after the four $9 donations, you’ll end up paying $36 for 6,500 Swagbucks (which is worth at least $65)Â for a $29 profit, plus a bit of credit card spend. Another angle would be if you gain from the tax write-off; that could give you up to ~$15 of additional value here.
Remember to use your SB email for the donation and remember to cancel after four months if you no longer wish to donate. You can either call in to cancel or create an account and discontinue online.
Two caveats to beware of:
- With similar Swagbucks charity donations, I’ve found that the organizations will send you A LOT of spam mailers. I did contact a couple of them via email to get off the mailing list, hopefully that’ll work.
- With all Swagbucks offers, bear in mind that some people end up having problems either with the portal tracking or with Swagbucks deactivating their account for reasons which aren’t clear, so keep the risks in mind.

have a question. do you know if the charities are losing money on these? sb told me that i could make the required # of donations, get my sb, and cancel, but i’m wondering if that hurts the charities bc the ones that i do are actually moneymakers. do you think that the charities are just writing this off and/or expecting ppl to continue donating after they get their sb?

They seem a little confused, lol. They sent me 4,500 SB and then pulled back 1,500, all from September in three separate transactions, so if I got an extra 1,500 that should’ve gone to someone else, i apologize. I also got a timely and properly appointed August and October points dump.
Last 1500 SB posted yesterday. Had to email only once and got reply from human that I should we points no later than 25th. And they were right!!!!

Quick Fyi, I emailed Swagbucks again today but this time I included screen grabs from the wcs website. I now have received 5000sb thus far. I’m still owed 1500 sometime next month. I went ahead and cancelled wcs today

I had to submit a ticket to Swagbucks for the Aug donation. I submitted screenshots of the offer and of my credit card charge for the donation. 1,500 SB for donation #3 were deposited into my account within 24 hours.

thanks a bunch for the email! sent them a note to cancel, hope they do so quickly cause my next recurring date is coming up soon. I was waiting for my final SBs to post from the 4th donation before I cancelled. but they still havent posted yet :/ even tho the first 3mo posted like clockwork. anyways, filed missing SB w/em today. so hope SB comes thru too.
My final 1500 SB hasn’t posted yet either. Last month they had a mess up and credit twice but reversed it. I just submitted a missing SB ticket since it should have posted a few days ago.
yep same, so thats interesting – several folks encountered that error last month with SB crediting then extra being reversed immediately. and then have nothing show up this month :/ so strange, havent seen anything like that before.
and yeah sent a ticket in on Mon, no reply yet. first time its taken em so long to even get back to me much less credit the missing SB. dunno wtf is going on w SB CSR lately.
I got a reply back to my ticket stating that 60 days needed to pass, per credit. So the September 1500 SB should post this week according to them.
SB has burned me twice on offers like this ~ trick me once, shame on them; trick me twice, I’m a sucker for punishment :p
The did not reply to repeated queries, I learned my lesson.
