Our Verdict
You can buy the one-year subscription for $47.88 and it’ll be a ~$12 moneymaker (might be sales tax reducing that). Especially interesting if you care for the service. Swagbucks went pending immediately, according to reader SDubbs. You can also pay with Paypal to stack with the Amex Platinum $30 deal.
If you’re new to Swagbucks then please read our review. You can get a bonus of up to $13 by using a referral link. MyPoints has a smaller bonus for signing up with a referral.Â

I’ll be the broken record here to say DO NOT ACTIVATE THE VPN while accessing the Swagbucks site (or if you have the SwagButton activated)… they will shut you down and the reinstatement process is a pain!
I use a VPN 100% of the tine when using SB and MP for over a year and not being shut down.
Different VPN provider than OP is referring to?
yes a different one 🙂 Torguard
+1 I did some other VPN moneymaker and it worked fine until I tried to redeem SB for a gift card. Got locked out of the account and had to contact via Facebook to get my account unlocked.
Can confirm that SB and MP really dislike most VPN services. I’ve heard several accounts that were suspended as soon as they tried to log in via VPN.
What happens if we cancel our subscription after the Swagbucks points have posted? Will we still be able to finish out our 1 year if we cancel?
Thank you
After I placed the order, I got an email from the company that says
You are one step away from obtaining digital privacy. Would you like to complete your CyberGhost order?
Strange that I got that. Guess their “system” has flaws.
Am I missing something? Couldn’t you just get 2 months and cancel for a bigger moneymaker if you don’t need the service?
If I remember correctly, they have a 45-day guarantee, so at 60 you’d be sol.
I wasn’t referring to canceling after two months. I was talking about buying two months at $12.99 and then cancelling.
You have to purchase a 1, 2, or 3 year subscription for this offer.
Where does it say that? I just read that you have to have a subscription. 1-month is still a subscription.
Around the time that DOC posted this, under “about offer” the Swagbucks website said, “Purchase a 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year subscription to earn 6,000 SB!* If you see different wording now, maybe it changed.
I did this yesterday, no SB points pending yet.. strange
Did the points eventually pend? I just did the offer and nothing tracked, but other people are reporting an instant track
Points went pending immediately, was having issue w my current VPN provider for nba streaming. Good time to try another one, thanks Doc!
CyberGhost is based in Romania and apparently charged through London?, so I got dinged with an International Transaction fee on my BoA card, FYI
Well, need to verify phone number and “Member has exceeded number of validation attempts”. I didn’t receive the validation code though…
I don’t think they every asked me for phone number. Unless their app “read” it from Android.
immediate pending. no tax from NJ
Immediate pending after refresh swag page.
Has China server, seems to be a good tool despite the moneymaker feature.
