Dear Todd,

I am writing to let you know that we will be closing our existing Invstr+ and Invstr Jr accounts effective May 20th, 2024. We will be upgrading our service to offer exceptional AI-powered advice while leaving you in control of your money. We will also be upgrading our brokerage and crypto partners. 

In light of these major changes, we decided the best course of action would be to end the existing accounts and give you the opportunity to apply for a new account when the new service becomes available. If you would like to join the waitlist click here.

In the meantime, we want to make the account closing process as smooth as possible for you. You now have three options: 

Option 1: Close Your Account. Use the app to liquidate all your positions and close your account. You can withdraw your funds using the ACH feature. 

Option 2: Transfer Your Account. You can transfer your account to another service provider using the ACATS system (fees may apply). We have made an arrangement with Public.com to handle account transfers but you may choose any other broker. Please register here: http://www.public.com/invstr should you wish to start the transfer process to Public.com.

Option 3: Do Nothing. If you do nothing we will close your account if you have a zero balance. If your account has a positive balance, you will incur a monthly account charge.

We value the trust you have placed in us over the years. We will be available at [email protected] to answer any questions you have. We look forward to welcoming you back as clients in the future.

An email went out yesterday from Invstr stating their banking and crypto partner, Vast Bank, N.A., is exiting its digital operations citing regulatory environment challenges.

This means:

  • Vast crypto trading will be replaced by Bakkt Holdings
  • Vast bank accounts will be closed

Many more details are included, but way too much to paste here… and said to expect more emails with details to follow.  Chuck

I funded the $100 on 4/27. My $30 bitcoin has taken about a 25% hit so far due to the Bitcoin crash. The 6,000 SB is showing as pending.

Hopefully bitcoin will start to turn around once I hit 30 days. Maybe I will keep it in a couple of decades and become a millionaire? That would be nice haha.

I sold my $30 bitcoin for $22.50 on the 5/25. There was a $0.33 fee so I ended up with $22.17 from the bitcoin. My 6,000 SB is supposed to be awarded on 05/29.

Someone mentioned in the comments below that the default Invstr+ is $4/mo. Anyone see how to downgrade?! Might be a headache for $90…

I know David posted the question a month ago, but for anybody else wondering: You’re given a 30 day free trial of Invstr Pro, which is $3.99/month, when signing up. However, the subscription won’t continue unless you renew it. From the home page in the app, select “View all offers”, and then the “Subscriptions” tab. You should see the free trial activated and it should say “No Auto Renewal”.

Share my experience: be cautious!

For some reason my account cannot be finished successfully. Received an email saying ‘clicking this link to finish application’. Clicked it on my iPhone where the App was installed, the App was started but nothing happened. After that, I sent three emails to support. Each time the exactly same canned response was received without follow-up. So I am in limbo state. Last email was asking them to delete my account and my information, still the canned response.

Also went thru MyPoints. Its 12,000 points now. MP showed pending maybe 1.5 days later. Plaid was not working properly so made an ACH push into it. When fund arrived Got an email of confirming $30 in BTC

I just signed up half hour ago after seeing MP was at 12000 points. It’s still on the screen where it says application is in progress, though.
