Update 7/29/24: See updated deal here
The Offer
- Swagbucks is offering 10,000 ($100) for opening Savings+ from Wysh and depositing at least $1,000.
- MyPoints has a similar offer for 17,000 points which is worth around $107-$112.
Wysh Savings+ is an account which combines the power of a high-yield savings account with free micro life insurance protection. There’s no medical underwriting, no additional fees, and no lock-ins. You can read more in this press release.
The Fine Print
- Must open a Wysh Savings+ account and deposit at least $1,000 to earn.
- Deposit amount below $1,000 will result in award being revoked.
- SB will appear as Pending for 45 days.
- Must enter valid sign-up information, including credit card information to earn SB.
- Each person may redeem this offer only once.
Our Verdict
Doesn’t seem like you even have to leave the $1,000 in the account – the terms only specify that you need to do an initial deposit of $1,000. The account earns 4% APY which isn’t bad, should you decide to leave funds in the account.
Looks like an easy-ish $100 bank bonus, and slightly better due to not having to deal with a 1099 from the bank which can sometimes be wonky. (Note, you would still legally have to self-report this income. Also note, there is a chance of getting a 1099 from Swagbucks, see this post to learn more.) It is a new company, but hopefully not a major risk since the funds are held with an FDIC-insured bank and funds don’t really need to stay in the account for any amount of time.
If you’re new to Swagbucks, please read our review. You can also get a bonus of up to $13 by using a referral link.
Whole thing is shutting down. Got an email. Chuck
“At Wysh, we endeavor to provide financial protection to as many individuals as possible. We created our Savings+ account to allow us to provide microlife insurance to a new group of users. Thank you for your interest in Wysh Savings+, but we have made the difficult decision to stop offering Savings+ and all Savings+ accounts will be closing.
You can utilize your Wysh Savings+ bank account as normal and access your funds until 12/20/2024. Any remaining funds in your Wysh Savings+ account upon closure will be sent to your linked bank account within 10 business days after account closure. If you don’t have a linked bank account, a check will be sent to the address on file. Please be sure your address is up to date.
To ensure a smooth transition, we kindly ask that you do the following:
1. Log in to your Wysh Savings+ bank account and transfer your funds to your linked external account as soon as possible.
2. Cancel any recurring scheduled deposits.
3. If you need to update your address, please contact us before 12/15/2024 and provide proof of your new address, such as a driver’s license or recent utility bill.
If you need assistance or have any questions, our customer service team is here to help. You can reach us at [email protected] or by using live chat on Wysh.com.
We appreciate your understanding. Thank you for choosing Wysh.”
Back at 12,000 SB and 20,400 MP. Doesn’t show up when I search for it, but it does in the Discover tab. Much lower deposit requirement of $100 Chuck
Nice, posted now https://www.doctorofcredit.com/swagbucks-mp-get-120-135-for-opening-wysh-financial-savings-account/
DP
10/6 – opened via SB link in Chrome with zero ad-blockers or privacy extensions; offer tracked and showed 10,000SB as pending
10/11 – $1,001 deposit from Ally settled
11/20 – SB free to withdrawal
12/8 – waited until interest posted, then closed by messaging Support and answering a few questions. There was an option to close by going to Profile > Close Account, but there was an error prompting me to message support. Easy enough.
Are those that opened this account keeping it opened for any reason?
My P2 submitted a Swagbucks ticket for Wysh Savings+ that didn’t track, using the link next to the visited list. Submitted an image of the Wysh email showing the account was opened, and a side-by-side, image of the account showing the $1,001 deposit.
Got this response today:
Thank you for engaging and sharing your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience and want you to know that your satisfaction is important to us here at Swagbucks.
Unfortunately, our systems did not track you successfully completing the credit activity. As stated in our Terms of Use, we generally do not receive compensation from our advertising partners in these circumstances and must withhold credit. However, in recognition of your valued contributions as a member, we have decided to make a limited exception here. We are depositing a goodwill credit to your Swagbucks account for the amount sought in your original ticket.
Please understand these exceptions are limited, and we reserve the right going forward to deny credit any time we see insufficient evidence of tracking or completion.
There’s a $50 offer to open a Discover Checking account and deposit $50 on Swagbucks FWIW.
IMO, most people won’t jump on a $50 Checking account bonus when it involves ChexSystems and/or EWS. Only really good for people who were already planning to bank there.
Plus, two significant items in the terms on the Discover offer:
Withdrawing funds from your Discover Cashback Debit account within the 1st month of account opening will result in SB being revoked. So, if I withdraw ANY funds it revokes the bonus?
And the main clincher for many of DoC readers…
Must be a new Discover Cashback Debit account holder.
Jesus Christ this was a quick expiration…
$1000had deposit,no any SB pending, will open
ticket a month latter,thanks
Dead
No pending SB, wait.
