Update 12/13/24: Wysh is shutting down:
At Wysh, we endeavor to provide financial protection to as many individuals as possible. We created our Savings+ account to allow us to provide microlife insurance to a new group of users. Thank you for your interest in Wysh Savings+, but we have made the difficult decision to stop offering Savings+ and all Savings+ accounts will be closing.
You can utilize your Wysh Savings+ bank account as normal and access your funds until 12/20/2024. Any remaining funds in your Wysh Savings+ account upon closure will be sent to your linked bank account within 10 business days after account closure. If you don’t have a linked bank account, a check will be sent to the address on file. Please be sure your address is up to date.
To ensure a smooth transition, we kindly ask that you do the following:
1. Log in to your Wysh Savings+ bank account and transfer your funds to your linked external account as soon as possible.
2. Cancel any recurring scheduled deposits.
3. If you need to update your address, please contact us before 12/15/2024 and provide proof of your new address, such as a driver’s license or recent utility bill.
If you need assistance or have any questions, our customer service team is here to help. You can reach us at [email protected] or by using live chat on Wysh.com.
We appreciate your understanding. Thank you for choosing Wysh.
Update: now requires a $1,000 deposit instead of $100.
The Offer
- Swagbucks is offering 12,000 ($120) when you sign up for Wysh, deposit $1,000 and remain a customer for 30 days.
- MyPoints has a similar offer for 20,400 points which is worth around $128-$135.
Wysh Savings+ is an account which combines the power of a high-yield savings account with free micro life insurance protection. There’s no medical underwriting, no additional fees, and no lock-ins. You can read more in this press release.
The Fine Print
- Must be a new user to earn.
- Must remain a Wysh customer for at least 30 days to earn 12,000 SB
- Award will pend for 32 days
Our Verdict
We posted about Wysh last year when the offer was $100-$112, now it’s up to $120-$135. (Technically, it sounds like you can even pull the $1,000 out immediately, so long as you remain a Wysh customer for 30 days.)
This is an easy-ish bonus that’s easy enough to do. I imagine some people will find this deal worthwhile. (You won’t get a 1099 from the bank; there is a chance of getting a 1099 from Swagbucks, see this post to learn more. Regardless, legally you’d have to self-report the income.)
Reports are that the points go pending within a couple of hours. Reports are that there is no Chex inquiry. The account earns 4% APY which isn’t bad, should you decide to leave funds in the account.
Hat tip to snailrock
If you’re new to Swagbucks, please read our review. You can also get a bonus of up to $13 by using a referral link.
Despite my account being closed for over 4 months, I got a $0.32 DD from them today.
thanks for the 12,000 SB points suckers.
Let me pull out my remainder 3 dollars and some change.
Hope you guys merge with another financial institution or hope someone buys ya out cause I’ll be right here waiting for the next churn opportunity!
Wyshful thinking.
Today’s email: “We’re giving you more time to access your Wysh Savings+ account”…3 extra days. LOL.
The whole thing is shutting down. Got an email. Chuck

Thanks, I’ll add a note
I received an email today saying the account will be closed on 12/20/24, and it advised to transfer the fund out asap. Otherwise upon closure the fund will be transferred to external account or a check will be sent to the address on file.
I got that, too. I wonder if they gave such short notice bc our balances are really low. I’ve heard of some banks sending these letters in waves. Can’t imagine anywhere here has anything left in the acct, except for interest…ETA: Looks like someone mentioned it here last month.
Closing from the profile page does not close the account, just your profile. I was still getting statements so CS had to reactivate my profile to close the account. But I guess that’s moot as of the 20th.
Wysh Savings account product being closed and permanently discontinued on 12/20/2024, as per recent e-mail.
Just curious if you had a balance greater than a dollar. LOL. It looks like they only notified some of us today. I’m wondering if it’s bc of our balances.
I’ve received multiple emails regarding the closing. November 5th, November 20th, December 5th, and again today, December 13th. I had a zero balance in my account the entire time.
Aye carumba! My wysh just came true.
Maybe this is standard and I just haven’t encountered it yet, but they are holding my funds for 8 days before I can access them. They received an ACH deposit on 10/8, still not available, and when I messaged customer service they said they would be available on 10/16
Wayne,
I remember you were worried about the Life Insurance policy when you 1st signed up. I reached out to them and found out that there is no way to opt out of it but there are no fees charged for having it.
Also, they don’t charge any inactivity or dormancy fees of any kind, according to the same rep.
I recall seeing you also mention that you closed your account already so you probably couldn’t care less but I still wanted to inform you anyway. 😀
Thank you! Me too (worried on insurance.)
