Swagbucks has removed the ability to purchase Swagbucks. Swagbucks previously offered the ability to purchase Swagbucks for less than facevalue, making it easily profitable. Earlier this year they stopped you earning anything when a referral purchased Swagbucks and now Swagbucks has removed the ability altogether.
Not a huge change for most people, but you were able to use a credit card so it was a useful way to generate a small amount of spend. I always thought this was a bit of a weird feature and assumed Swagbucks mostly did it to give themselves some extra liquidity when waiting for merchants to payout.

At times I would buy $20 worth of SB’s and redeem them for the deeply discounted gift cards they offered each month. The gift card would net a small profit and I would receive points toward the next level. Now, doing the daily poll I should reach the next level in 329 years.

Swagbucks CS seems to copy and paste bullshit reasons. That’s word for word what they told me after I got them to award the 8500 SB I was due for their US Bank promotion https://www.swagbucks.com/offer?oid=20771 which has zero to do with a gaming offer.
I have found it problematic redeeming SB’s lately. I have to wait for a verification email which never comes, and they don’t answer a support inquiry.
