Full List Of Synchrony Store Cards
For the purposes of this post, we consider a store card a card that doesn’t have a partnership with a payment network (e.g Visa, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, etc) and can’t be used anywhere those cards are accepted and instead can only be used at a specific store or stores. These cards can only be used at the stores they are branded for, as such they aren’t really credit cards but store cards.

Apply In Store
There are a few store cards that you must apply for in store. They are as follows:
- Yamaha
- Suzuki
- Polaris
- KTM
- Kawasaki
Best Synchrony Cards
Most of the store cards aren’t even remotely worth considering as they just offer no interest if paid in full within 6 months on purchase of $199 or more (Blispay offers this and also gives you 2% cash back). This is usually the best case scenario as well, as often they won’t really offer anything at all.
Some of the actual credit cards are a bit more interesting, for example:
- Amazon Store card. The Amazon store card actually earns at a higher rate (5% on all Amazon purchases) than the Amazon credit card. 5% is as high as any credit card, but cards with rotating categories (e.g Discover it or Chase Freedom) might be better options due to the fact that the Freedom earns Chase Ultimate Rewards points and the Discover it has it’s cash back doubled in the first year. Read our full review here.
- Sam’s Club cards. These earn an impressive 5% on gas station purchases and 3% on dining and travel. If you already have a Sam’s Club membership then there is no annual fee and 5% is basically as good as it gets for gas station purchases. You can read our full review here.
- eBates card. This card earns 3% cash back on purchases made through the Ebates shopping portal. This is obviously better than the standard 2% cash back card the best cards offer on all purchases. The only problem with this is that Topcashback and other shopping portals usually offer better rates than eBates. You can read our full review here.
Easiest Synchrony Cards To Get
Unlike Comenity Bank the SCT (shopping cart trick) will not work for these cards, that being said the store cards will most likely be easier to get than the credit cards. If you have bad credit you might be better off either using the SCT or getting a secured card such as the Discover it secured.
Rules
- Not possible to know whether it’ll be a soft/hard pull before requesting a credit limit increase.
- They will pull TransUnion unless that is frozen and in that case it’ll be Experian.
- They are sensitive to new accounts, but not inquiries.
- They do not combine inquiries
- They do not match bonuses.
- They do not allow you to get a second card of the same type.
Final Thoughts
I’m sure I’ve missed some store and credit cards, so feel free to contribute in the comments below. Also let me know if you think any cards should be added to the best or easiest to get lists.
You can add Venmo visa to credit cards.
They are also the issuer of the new Verizon Visa.
Word of warning……if you don’t use your accounts within a year, they will automatically close it with no recourse. You will have to reapply, and there is no guarantee they will approve you again for a card.
This company was giving me credit left and right until recently. I reapplied for the closed accounts and got declined for all but one and got a lower credit limit on the one they approved. This is despite my credit actually being in better shape than it was a year ago.
Synchrony helped my credit but now they are damaging it by closing the accounts.
I suggest making sure yearly you go and buy something small just to keep the cards active.

I got the Old Navy Account and the farthest point $300.00. I just charged a couple of things and paid them off. Synchrony Bank. They shut my record intentionally and I feel that should look great on my credit report
Why are you posting this exact message in the same thread twice under two different names? You posted it under the name Lynda Farley last time.
Synchrony also pulls a score from Sagestream. When I began my churning journey earlier this year, my first new card attempt was one other theirs (in retrospect, a foolish decision). This remains the only bank thus far that has denied me for a credit card. For reference, my credit scores at the time were ~780 and I had one card for the past 14 years – always paid off in full each month, no derogatory marks or late payments.
I was denied credit due to my score from Sagestream being low. The reasons for the low score were essentially along the lines of not enough credit cards/experience with credit cards.
Since then I have applied for 8 new cards from BoA, Chase, AMEX, Capital One, Barclays, and Citi. No denials from any of them.
If I go back to get one of their cards now, I suspect I will be approved without issue since my risk profile is now higher (more open credit cards and recent inquiries), so it probably looks like they might profit off of me. But now that I know more, I realize the majority of their cards are useless. So thank you Synchrony for denying me credit and keeping one of my Chase slots open!
I completed my app & got a message saying decision will be made doing to me… the one problem is I’m not able to check the status online.
