SYW Shopping Portal: 25% Rate at Walmart, Target, Staples, and Many Others [New Offer, 9/17-9/23]

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Shop at qualifying merchants using the Shopyourway portal and get 25% back

To max out this offer, make a purchase of $200 and get $50 back. Sounds like you only get the 25% on one purchase, so you’ll have to make a $200 purchase to max out.

The Fine Print

Getting 25% back from a shopping portal at popular merchants is awesome, but of course you have to factor in the hassle of dealing with SYW points. Personally, it was never worth my while for a few dollars, but at $50 it’s tempting.

It might even be 25% on top of the standard portal earnings (so Nike with be 35%, for example), but more likely the 25% replaces the regular portal earnings.

The SYW deal is also valid for Raise purchases as stated, but Raise typically pays out only for new users (up to $1k in purchases). While the SYW portal doesn’t mention this limitation, it seems to be enforced nonetheless. Buying gift cards from Raise probably won’t trigger the 25% bonus for veteran Raise customers.

Points posted on 11/18, total 15362 points, worth $15.36 towards purchase on SYW. However, the ratio is only 8%

9/18 One purchase $192.03 on Raise.com
11/18 Bonus points – SYW Affiliate – Raise Gift Cards – Points to be awarded real time and valid for 12 months

I did use a raise.com weekend promotion code to save a total of $2.79 so paying $189.24 indeed. Not sure if the remaining 17% will be posted at the end of the 45th day from purchase. Don’t know what I did wrong.

They awarded the points but gave you a same negative balance at the very beginning. Anyone in the same boat?

Just in time for the last day of this promo, RAISE just released a special weekend promotion adding a 4% discount to any gc purchases…. (email announcement subject line, “long story short, it’s a weekend sale”)

btw, if I try to max out on this syw deal today via raise, does the $200 need to be in the purchase of just a single gift card, or can it be through a single transaction, comprised of more than one gc, totalling $200 or more, (I’m guessing the latter — yet am I missing something — any data points out there?)

Do SYW points have to be used at Sears? In which case this is a hard sell as I struggle to find anything to buy at Sears at all these days…

Lowes should combine with the Amex sync offer if you got it. I wonder if you could buy a lowes physical gift card online to stack both offers. Does anyone know if that works? Thanks
