T-Mobile: TVision To Shut Down, Replaced With Discounted YouTube TV & Philo (Free 3 Months YouTube Premium)

Update 4/13/21: More information on this. You can get three months of YouTube for free, works even if you’ve used a free trial in the past.

T-Mobile has announced that TVision will be shut down starting April 29th, 2021 and instead be replaced with a $10 monthly discount for YouTube TV & Philo. To start with users will need to need to use a coupon code to access the discount via YouTube, but then T-Mobile will integrate it with their billing system and customers will be billed directly.

Existing TVision customers will be able to apply the discounts starting today via a unique link found in their online account. Existing T-Mobile customers will be able to start receiving the discounts on April 6th, 2021.

After entering phone number and clicking continue, it goes to https://promotions.t-mobile.com/rebates page which keeps “loading” and refreshing infinitely.

think you should note that its free youtube premium and not free youtube tv. youtube tv is like a $65/month subscription and they’re offering the $10 discount on that.

Includes YouTube Premium which is great for people who like to play stuff in the background.

Argh. So close, was hoping they’d opt to start paying or discounting Youtube Premium maybe.

Too way expensive than Fios TV. Maybe Google is thinking they are an Internet giant monster.

On March 31st, 2021, instead of the current qualifying deposit requirements, we will require that at least 10 qualifying purchases using your T-Mobile MONEY card have posted to your Checking Account before the last business day of the month.

Before you had to just send like $200/month to that account to get that 4% rate, now it requires you to make at least 10 qualifying purchases every month.

Can all TMobile customers get $10 off YouTubeTV or only current TVision customers?

All customers will be able to but to start the discount is available only to current Tvision customers.

Outraged, I guess?

There’s no way I’m paying $54.99/mo for YouTube TV.

Don’t worry, YouTube will raise their price again soon enough.
