In reading the comments, I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one that had a problem w/the app failing. However, I had already driven to the location and basically demanded that they honor the deal anyway. I showed them my phone, stuck on the “oops..” page, got a “it’s not our fault, we have nothing to do w/the app”. I responded that it wasn’t my fault either, and that I had driven over there in the rain to get the deal and that they could go up the chain in management to get it approved. Treating people like that wasn’t right. I got my meal. I can be persistent about things like that, LOL.

google chalupa cravings and taco bell and FAILURE and watch how many hits you get…. My conclusion is that Taco Bell deliberately set up this promotion, knowing full well their miserable app (almost as unreliable as Burger King’s) would crash under the load….

But no matter, and no compensation or retry expected. Instead, TB, in keeping with the spirit of the current POTUS, will blame somebody else, and revel in the ever increased twitter following (and internally laugh all the way to Wall Street)

yup, sour grapes. (and they’ve earned them, nation-wide.)

They are pretty genius, getting new accounts, personal information, pushing their app to #1, app and device data.

Consumers lose. Corporations win. Taco Bell that.

Only way consumers will win this one is if they can figure a way how to make this turn into a PR nightmare for Taco Bell

UberEats spent nearly $100 on me in the past week to get my attention. Taco Bell promised me a $5 box I never got haha. Cost for customer acquisition win.

as per usual, the taco bell app (and web site) fail / crash on just the day they throw the party, but then fail to deliver…..

Looks like Taco Bell’s crappy IT is going to result in this offer providing no food, but ample frustration for most.

The app seems to be working again, but I’m not seeing any mention of the offer. It’s also not shown on their website. Am I missing something?

11:00 MST Desktop site-
“OUR WEBSITE IS EXPERIENCING HIGHER THAN NORMAL TRAFFIC”
(no problem accessing their online merchandise store to buy something of course)

It looks like their website is down. I click on the offer link and get a message saying they are experiencing higher than normal volumes. Bummer as I wanted to get this for lunch today.

The app and desktop site both time out when I try to login. I guess this deal is too popular.
