Taking A Break From Blogging

Hey guys, if you’re reading this then that means I’m in Mynamar/Burma. I’ve just finished up my work contract that was based out of South East Asia and now I’ve taken three weeks of my annual leave. My plan is to travel around Mynamar, a country I’ve always wanted to visit. When the NLD lifted their travel boycott back in 2010 I wanted to visit, but one thing got in the way of another and I never made time.

From the reports I’ve read, the internet in Mynamar is spotty at best (although quickly improving). Rather than trying to constant deal with temperamental internet I’ve decided to just try to take a self imposed break instead. This means I won’t be posting with quite as much frequency, I’ve scheduled a lot of posts so you’ll still see new posts from me and I’m hoping that both Chuck & Arielle will continue to contribute posts whilst I’m away.

This also means that comments won’t be approved and questions/queries sent via e-mail won’t receive a response during this period (again, Chuck & Arielle might approve some here and there and I’ll try to check in if possible). I’ll be back in the United States either on the 22nd or 23rd of November, although I’ll likely be extremely busy with work commitments until the start of December.

I won’t be posting about the trip on this blog either during or after the trip (I’m trying my best to keep the site consumer credit focused), although I will be putting up a few pictures here and there on twitter (follow me if you haven’t already). Looking forward to posting more regularly when I get back from this trip, as a lot less of my time will be spent in airports and lot more time at home.

Have a great trip!!!

Sounds like a interesting place to visit. It would be interesting to have you post a blog with photos, but I understand that you want to keep this blog focused in other areas.

cool, have a fun trip… just wondering what kinda work (contract work?) did you do in SE Asia and will you be doing now when you get back to the US?

is it related to finance or is this blog purely a hobby with nothing to do with your day job? curious minds want to know 🙂
