Our Verdict
No limit of 1 is listed this time, so it’s possible you’ll be able to do this deal more than once.
I was able to purchase five Apple gift cards in separate transactions before they started canceling the orders. Here’s the cancellation message:
What went wrong?
It’s possible our system automatically canceled for one of the following reasons:
Purchase limit exceeded
We’ve applied purchase limits to ensure as many families as possible have access to essentials and other high-demand items.
Payment issue
Our system was unable to verify the payment method used was secure.
Activity not supported on Target.com
Our system flagged the order due to activity not allowed on the site.
Apple dotcom has a limit of 8 GCs per transaction. If planning a large purchase, it might be better to wait for a $100 deal.
Maybe different limit in store?
I load mine onto my balance.
There is a 2k balance limit when purchase, not sure if it’s changed or not but sharing my old research
Double the swipes and bookkeeping for resellers. The $100/$10 was better.
Does this stack with 5% redcard?
Yes but only the Apple Card counts on the 5% minus the $5 TGT card. So you’ll save $2.25 if using the RedCard. However, if using Freedom for quarterly spend, you’ll get $2.50 back since it will count the whole $50 transaction.
In addition, you will get 1% back on target circle when checking out with Freedom (instead of Red Card).
