The Offer
- Several readers (& Fatwallet & Reddit) have reported receiving the following sign up bonus on the Fidelity Visa card from Elan services (U.S. Bank):
- $100 bonus when you spend $500 (some offers are after first purchase) within three months of account opening
- $200 bonus when you spend $2,000 within three months of account opening
Card Benefits
- No annual fee
- Card earns 2% cash back on all purchases
Our Verdict
Everybody that was targeted was an existing Fidelity customer, I doubt we’ll see a public bonus on this card but it looks like they are keen to get existing customers using this card. The Citi Double cash sent out a similar targeted offer when they first launched. There is a growing list of cards that earn 2% cash back on all purchases but a 2% card with a sign up bonus would be a must get for anybody without a 2% card in my opinion. If you’re just looking for a cash sign up bonus, there are definitely better options out there.
Hat tip to reader Jeff H
Is this a good cars for manufactured spending?
I received the $200 offer, which also comes with 12 months of 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers FYI. (3% balance transfer fee).
Nice, very good deal if you don’t already have a 2% card.
Mine is $100 after first purchase….got email on friday and deleted. Never read
Thanks for the heads up
What I received is “Earn a limited time $100 bonus3 after your first purchase. Plus, enjoy a 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 12 billing cycles. Eligible balance transfers must be made within 30 days of account opening. After that, a variable APR that’s currently 14.24% will apply. A 3% fee (min. $5) applies to balance transfers.4”
