Our Verdict

The main benefit to this offer is that there is no lifetime language, so you can get the bonus if you already got it before. If you haven’t received the bonus before there is also an offer for up to 110,000 points but that requires significantly more spend. It’s much harder to use the airline incidental credits now, so I think that makes it much harder to get good value out of the massive $595 annual fee – especially as Priority Pass that is included does not include restaurant options anymore. All of that being said if you’ve had this card before an offer like this is really the only way you’d be able to get the sign up bonus again so definitely worth at least considering. I won’t add this to the best credit card bonus page because it’s targeted. As always you can read and learn more about American Express credit cards by clicking here.

The $595 yearly fee is the deal killer here.

Now I don’t feel so special about the 100k for 10k spend in 3mon targeted offer I just got. lol It’s all good. I just have to play the hand I’m dealt and be thankful for whatever offers come my way.

Can you expand on the airline credits being harder to get? I usually buy the $50 Delta gift cards up to $200. Does this no longer work?

typo in:
‘The main benefit to this offer is that there is no lifetime language, so you can get the bonus if you haven’t gotten it before.’

should be – ‘if you have already gotten it before’

They’ve really nurfed all the Amex Platinum cards in the past year. I’m surprised anybody can still convince themselves there’s any value to these card, especially with the other options out there.

I had this offer but decided not to take it. The fact that the airline credits are so hard to use now makes this card super expensive and not worth it anymore. If they raise the bonus to 150k MR I would consider it.

Wow. There’s still airline credit loopholes that exist. You’re throwing away a free 75k… 😩😩😭

It’s actually really easy to turn those airline credits into a general statement credit if you know how 😉

Please share your knowledge & tips on the matter. Unless of course it involves “gaming” and puts one at risk of a lifetime ban.

Got my Platinum Biz card delivered today. Still has the WeWork signup offer with the other paperwork/disclosures. Says you have to enroll by 12-31-19.
