- Get 10% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled card to make fuel purchases at the pump at BP & Amoco stations by 12/31/2018. Limit of $25 in statement credits
Our Verdict
How useful this deal is will depend on how competitively priced BP/Amoco stations are in your area. It should also be able to stack with the other amex offer where you get $5 when you spend $35+ at gas stations. We also saw a similar offer for Chevon/Texaco.

maybe targeted. Just a FYI since I’m not sure where to sent info such as good Amex offer
0/4 no problem….I use ExxonMobil most the time. John 3:16
I think I’m more surprised that Amoco is mentioned, as BP all but phased out that brand when the two merged (might see some signage that mentions Amoco Ultimate fuel at some BP stations). It’s not even an Exxon/Mobil or Chevron/Texaco situation where the two brand coexist.
BP is re-introducing the Amoco brand to the Chicago market. Primarily where they want a location that is in close proximity to an existing BP station.
Thanks for the info – I didn’t realize they brought it back (grew up in that area, but haven’t been back in awhile). I’m surprised they haven’t done it sooner to get a bit of a PR “win” with some of the complaints over the years (contaminated fuel at a few locations in Indiana and Illinois; the Whiting, IN facility; the national-level BP missteps).
William Charles I don’t know where to post this but i got an email offer from amex about getting 2,500 miles up to 10k miles for adding authorized user after to $500 spend
Multible tabs works.
AmEx has been on fire recently with updated deals and offers. Really liking this new found competition.
I got the spend $350+ on amextravel and get 6K MR points. Is it worth it?
I’m trying to use it but terms say it has to be done in 1 transaction so that means either staying in an expensive hotel or staying at least two nights. I’ve been using the AMEX MR Rocketmiles partnership a lot lately (after of course comparing prices). You should check that out and see if you can do better.
BP is very popular in NYC and usually the only one offering same price Cash or Credit. Meanwhile Amex offers have been very generous recently. Still using all the Exxon/mobile 10% up to $100, Plus lots of Shell gas cards from ShopRite deals…
SVM gas cards on eBay is definately taking a hit.
Amex is pretty much trolling me at this point, I have 0 BP 10% offer but all 3 accounts got chevon/taxaco while I’m in NYC, there isnt any chevon at all…..
