Our Verdict
Not a huge discount and how useful this is will depend on pricing in your area.
I spent $25+ at the pump and paid with my AMEX card, but didn’t receive the $5 credit. I didn’t use an app. Some earlier DPs made it seem like the app wouldn’t be necessary, but it is.
I purchased through the app and the credit was posted. I bought regular grade.
My 5 off 25 premium stacked too. Also stacked with the 20 cents off per gallon via walmart plus.
I made a $31.xx purchase of Supreme through the app and received the $5 for purchasing $30 and $5 for purchasing $25 of Supreme through the app. For me the offers stacked.

Some previous DPs that regular triggered the offer, so I tested out buying $25 of regular at pump, not through app, to see if they could really track whether it’s premium. Figured going through app they could more easily know. After 6 days it still hasn’t posted, so I’m guessing that they can indeed track it.
Has anyone tried pumping $50+ or $75+ worth of gas at once instead of separate transactions of $25+? Considering other Amex offers get you multiple credits with one big purchase (i.e. Google Fi and Supermarkets offers), I wonder if this one would work the same way. It’s so tedious to pump separately in a multiple of $25.
Supreme+ costs so much that this offer barely brings it back to the same as premium at Sam’s…
worth it for me, even at $7 a gallon for Supreme+, saving 20% like on this deal means $1.40 less per gallon. Costco/Sams is usually only $0.40 cheaper.
Is this possible to stack with walmart + discount?
I haven’t tried this but I assume it’s not possible.
According to AmEx offer Term, “Offer valid only on Exxon or Mobil Synergy Supreme+ premium fuel, paid for at the pump or via the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app.”.
So, if you use Walmart+ app. to pay in order to get the fuel discount, I would assume it won’t trigger the AmEx offer.
I think it will stack. I used an Ink+ Exxon deal a couple days ago via Walmart+ and they stacked.
I will give it a try and report back if there are no data points posted before then.
Yes It stacks . Amex still code it as EXXONMOBIL for the transaction done through Walmart+ app. Received $3 credit last week.

Premium in Southern California is about $6 per Gallon @Mobill.
Can I do 3 separate transactions on the same day?
One full tank on my pick up would easily go over $120 🤣
