The Offer
Check your Amex logins for one of the following offers:
- Get a one-time $20 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $60+ in one or more transactions online only at google.com/express or via the Google Express mobile app.
- Some Membership Rewards-earning cards are showing a similar deal with 2,000 Membership Rewards instead of a $20 statement credit.
The Fine Print
- Valid when spending $60+ in a single transaction or split across multiple transactions
- Valid through July 1, 2018
Our Verdict
Free shipping is usually available on purchases of $25/$35+. Google Express has some major retailers on board as well (Target, Costco, Walmart). Keep in mind prices are sometimes higher on Google Express than direct (e.g. with Costco), but with this Amex Offer you should definitely end up ahead.
Some existing users were targeted with a 20% off promo code which is valid through June 17th which will stack beautifully with the Amex deal. If you’re new to Google Express, you can use my friend’s referral code Z294732W4 (signup link) which functions as a promo code at checkout to get $10 off $10. Or, first time users can get 20% off with promo code: DAD20 (max $20 discount).

Just got a targeted father’s day coupon for 20% off up to $100 in discount. Single use code. Subject of email: 20% off gifts to celebrate dad
Thanks Doc, just bought the air mattress on sale at costco a couple days ago for $99.99. Was able to get it for $66.59 through the stacked promos! And I’ll return the one to costco using my debit card to keep the 100 URs too!
Is it possible to pay using multiple Amex cards on Google Express? Would be great to max-out the 20% off code.
no you cant split a txn onto several diff cards if thats what you’re asking. you can ofc use as many cards as you want in your profile. but only 1/order.
Bummer! Then I guess the best deal opportunity is pay $28 by stacking 20% & Amex offer on a $60 transaction.
Don’t you need at least a $75 purchase? If your final total charged to your Amex is less than $60, then you aren’t going to get the credit.
So the lowest possible out of pocket is $40 after the $20 credit.
You’re right, thanks for pointing that out!
Do not go lowest. My order had negative $1.53 price adjustment. So, if you go $75 than you can end up with $60-$1.53 = $58.47 and do not qualify for $20 credit.
i don’t know what to buy? any suggestions?
2/4… have never used their service… time to give it a try… have a blessed day!!
added. used and no email from amex. Anyone else?
Same here, no email but it happened last week when I used the Lowes 10% back, never got an email from Amex but get the CB couple of days later.
Those “You’ve used your offer!” emails are always hit-n-miss. I’ve never had any issue of the credits not posting. The GE one was the slowest to post, however. Last time it took 7-10 days. I believe it’s the merchant responsible for issuing the credit, hence the variation in posting time.
E-mails don’t always come, I wouldn’t worry about it at this stage.
2/11 and only on AU cards, I am running low on coffee so will order some today and save $40, Thanks Chuck.
man…0/16. 🙁 🙁
1/10. Too bad no more MCGC sold by Target.
0/2. No dented cat food cans for me this round.
Don’t worry, they still dented them, just sent them to me instead.
🙂
