Our Verdict

Despite it say that it’ll only work on room rate and room charges, in practice basically any purchase made at the front desk would usually work. Does this include The Grand Wailea, which is a Waldorf Astoria resort?

A lot of the Amex offers are Hilton brand specific. Some are Hilton brand only, some are for the “curio” brand, some are for Hampton inn and suites etc.

My girlfriend got burned last year trying to use a Hilton only AMEX offer for the grand Wailea. They initially refused to credit her until she called a few times and raised a stink.

Since the terms don’t speciifcally exclude Waldorf Astoria, I think it will probably be fine though.
