Literally just got back yesterday from Andaz Papaguyao in Costa Rica. Wish I would have seen this before and saved a $100. Guess that means I need to book another trip..

I know it says no gift cards but are the able to tell? I’m going to the cape soon. We are staying on points and I can foresee $200 in f&b charges. Wondering if I could do the other $200 as a gift card or if Amex will be able to tell by the coding. And I wouldn’t make it $400 exactly. I’d have it be some crooked number.

Good luck trying to find an international property selling Hyatt gift cards at front desk. It’s a challenge to find one in US to begin with.

This is great!… I was actually booking one for the Centric Hotel in Peru!. I love traveling to Latin America.. food is cheap, big hotels are usually easy to get, and the miles and points come double when you sync everything together!…. Hasta luego, amigos!

I tend to agree. We stayed 4 nights at the Park Hyatt Mendoza last year. At 9k points per night it was a really good bargain, especially with a conference in town that drove up cash rates.

Especially in Argentina with the currency situation, there is some tremendous value to be had. If anyone is into wine, I’d highly recommend it. That $25USD 5 course meal at La Azul with pour-your-own wine and a ribeye as the star was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Awesome to hear. We’re planning on going to Peru in summer of 2025.
