Our Verdict
You should be able to purchase a $75 gift card through the app to trigger the $15 statement credit, to purchase a gift card go to promos and then click ‘gift lyft to friends’. You can send it to yourself. As always you can view more Lyft deals and promotions by clicking here. Kind of surprised to see this offer given the Platinum card offers Uber credits. Maybe American Express will be the Lyft credit card issuer?

Has anyone been able to double-dip with Delta Plat/Reserve? Can I reload $50 Lyft cash to get this to trigger?

My specific offer 5/15/24 includes the following; “Excludes electronic gift card purchases and international rides.”
Thats not the same wording as other AMEX offers which specifically exclude CORPORATE gift cards. It may or may not be what they intended.
10/17/18 I can confirm that purchasing $75 in credit on the app generates the AMEX confirmation. If you don’t want to spend $100 to meet the $75 required you can purchase $25 and then $50 (or vice versa). HOWEVER, you may have the purchase denied if the two purchases are close together time-wise. Wait a bit (perhaps even until the next day) and the second charge should go through with no problems.

Purchasing lyft gift card didn’t work to trigger the rebate. Did it work for anyone?
I purchased a $25 gift card, and then a $50 gift card. Amex just emailed me saying I’ve completed the offer and will get the $15 credit. I had to enter a different email address for the second gift card because the lyft app was rejecting the payment processing.
