Our Verdict

Unfortunately this isn’t on any portals at the moment. I’d probably wait until hopefully it hits a portal or there is some other way to stack this deal for a bigger discount. Shef sells homemade meals. There is also a referral bonus of $20, feel free to share yours in the comments below.

I almost though this was another ingredient-and-recipe meal kit company like Blue Apron. It looks like people cook, and then deliver to your home. No one in my city

Food is OK but one caution on payments: Don’t use the Amex Offer to buy Shef gift cards because those can’t be combined with the very frequent promo codes that Shef sends out. You are better off waiting until you want to order, apply a promo code and then pay with your Amex and get the AO cashback.

I had been using Shef for more than 2 years now (on and off). It is not one of the best delivery platforms but provides changes to appetite once in a while by providing homemade food. The pros is that they deliver from local homemade shefs but various cusines. Cons is that the food arrives completely frozen or cold and you need to heat it up (as they collect the food at their warehouse before delivering). This also means that the timings are little off the schedules and you cannot truly rely upon it for an immediate consumption.
