The Fine Print

- The value of this bonus may constitute taxable income to you. Bank of America may issue an IRS Form 1099 (or other appropriate form) to you that reflects the value of the bonus. To the extent required by law, Bank of America may withhold tax or other amounts from the payment. Please consult your tax advisor, as neither Bank of America, its affiliates, nor their employees provide tax advice.
Our Verdict
Obviously not the biggest bonus, but shouldn’t be too difficult to meet the requirements if you are targeted.

I got the BoA $20 mobile credit today after fulfilling the requirement on 2/23/18.
I saw this offer AFTER I logged out from my online account.
Thanks DoC!
Are we sure that the offer is only available by email invitation? I went to their site a couple of nights ago, and the offer was on the main page. I never got an email from them about it, though. Here’s the link:

Where did you see it on the site? Were you logged in? AFAIK it’s targeted and enforced as each link looks different.
It was on the main page (www.bankofamerica.com), before I logged in. I checked before I posted, and didn’t see it, but now it’s back up. It shows the offer, and then there’s a blue “Find out how” button that takes me to the link that I posted above.
Don’t suppose you have a pic of it on the home page? I can’t seem to get it to trigger

Fine print on that page says “This offer is limited to those individuals who received an e-mail from Bank of America about this offer; only the named recipients are eligible for the bonus. Offer expires on May 1, 2018. This offer is intended for new users of the Bank of America Mobile Banking app only.”
Their whole site/app is horrendous — very difficult to figure out compared to any of the 20+ other apps I’ve used. Just horrible!
My brother got the same offer for his checking ac. He has no credit card from BOA. Requirement 1 is same as above, 2 – Deposit a check or pay a bill with the app by May 1 2018.
Almost 30 year customer with B of A. I’ve told them numerous times it’s BS that people who have stuck with them over the years don’t get anything and people who come in and churn their cards and accounts get bonuses.
What was their response? I have found most companies operate like this. They think you are a happy customer. Might as well join the party and start churning.
It’s the same with cable/internet companies like Comcast, FIOS, etc. The deals are always for new customers. So churn them — I cancelled my FIOS and my wife signed up, we got faster internet and save $100 per month. Cancel your account, sign up for a new one next year.
I was targeted for this, will make up for the $15 they charged me to expedite next day delivery for their Premium Rewards card 🙂
Anyone successful in getting the small business bonus from the bank even if you were not targeted.
I.e were you successful in getting the offer added to your account?
