- Update 7/25/20: Deal available again for some until 07/31/2020
I got an email today from Chase telling me that they have a mobile app and that I should download and use it because it will make my life so much better. No $5 offer though.
Got this today even though I’ve been obsessively checking the app every day for years.
Got targeted for this one. Any 2019 DPs out there know if they actually sent a 1099 for this?
@William Charles Offered again today (targeted). Expires 12/31/2020. Getting tax paper for Chase bonus anyway, so went for it. Easy to install app, log in once, and delete.
I received the offer. Previously I had the Chase App installed but I removed it because it demanded excessive amount of storage space (not for the app, for the data storage). Also the app was intrusive. I am going pass on the offer.
Chase and Capital One apps on Android require unrestricted access to your phone, I think including media files, so, I cannot use either app on Android, only on iOS, where no such access is required. (Schwab, Barclays, FNBO, AmEx and WellsFargo do not.) The Chase Ink app used to work without such overbroad permissions, but, sadly, its been discontinued.
Ever wonder how those celebrity photos get leaked? Yeah, it’s totally not apps like Chase or Capital One that don’t need media access, yet require the permission and don’t work without it, leaking all those photos! I mean, how often have you logged into your account in Chase only to see someone else’s account? Their security is top notch! 💋

Sorry, but $5 isn’t a good price to pay for such “inconvenience” of my d!ck p!cs being leaked online by Chase, because their app developers think they have to have access to my photo files for a wink-wink reason!
Preeeeach!!!!!
Wow. I have NEVER logged into my account and found someone else’s info …
But has anyone else logged in to theirs and found yours? (We’ll never know.)
Why even use stock Android? Get yoself dat GrapheneOS, dog. Take control of yo data!
Not trying to plug apple, but get an iphone and these problems go away.
Did anyone actually get this? It should have posted by now.
Chase Pay app is getting shut down in early 2020. Coincidence?
Why are they making this offer? I received an email today that Chase is closing the app early 2020.
That’s a different pay. That is for Chase Pay, this is for Chase itself.
I just got an email today from Chase saying the app is closing in early 2020.
That’s Chase Pay app, not Chase app.
