Chase is sending Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, Slate cardholders the following offer:
- Activate your complimentary 3 months of DashPass by 9/30/20 with your Freedom/Unlimited/Slate card and automatically receive a $10 credit toward your next order.
The Fine Print
- DashPass, DoorDash’s subscription service, provides unlimited deliveries with a $0 delivery fee and reduced service fees on eligible orders over $12.
- After 3 months, you are automatically enrolled in DashPass at half off for the next 9 months. For accounts with more than one cardmember, the subscription will be registered in the name of whoever activates the benefit first.
Our Verdict
The 3 months of DashPass is old news, but now lots of people are reporting getting an email with this offer of an additional $10 statement credit which sweetens the deal. This $10 off should stack with any other DoorDash promo codes as well.

$10 credit does expire 12/31/2020 but I’m having issues with free trial with dashpass
I noticed if you log into Chase online banking -> UR -> Rewards Activity -> Scroll all the way down, it will show in GREEN in the DoorDash box “Activated” if you have your Chase Card linked (free 3 month subscription and $10 credit) to DD. I have one linked and one unlinked, but both have been used for the $10 credit. The unlinked but already used one does NOT have “Activated” in the DoorDash box. Now I’m more curious if this could work a second time on new accounts.

What is put on paper isn’t necessarily put into practice. With DoorDash’s track record of screwing things up, I only look at DPs.
What if I have both CF and CFU? Can I activate one after the other for 6mos total?
P2 got this offer on CFU. Will these steps work: Refer from my account to P2 account and then activate the DashPass and get the first order bonus and the $10 credit, plus the referral bonus for me? Different credit card, different phone number and email, even different last name, but same address. I have only used DD for the CSR credit so don’t want to risk losing it by doing something stupid 🙂 TIA

Signed up for new account using another email/GV number/Name and signed up for DP on fresh account using CFU. Successfully applied $10 and $15 promo on an order. No charge on CFU account. Now here’s to hoping they don’t shut down my accounts as I actually use DD a lot (laziness) 🙂

NVM, I just clicked through the email link and activated DashPass again, and now I have the $10 credit. More Free Food!

I used my freedom card months ago and tried to use CFU in a new DoorDash account, only see one month trial and no $10 credit…. So just want to check if this is your first time using a chase card for DashPass? Thanks.

Hey do you know if same card (CF) can be used on 2 accounts and both accounts getting the benefits?
I don’t think it’s possible, which is why you see some folks actually getting charged (no free trial) for adding their Chase Card and then complaining getting charged, since they’ve used it in the past.
However, you can be the confirmation DP that puts the nail in the coffin if you would like?

They didn’t explicitly state that, since DPs were quite vague. It was just what I inferred after putting together information from multiple sources.
This is why people are having trouble. Per terms:

Activate DashPass trial WITH your Chase Card. $10 credit will appear in checkout near your total. Credit can be stacked with ANY promo code.

Having to pay with the Freedom is annoying if you want to use up your CSR credits. I activated the 1 month free trial so does that mean I’m out of luck on the $10 credit?
I don’t have CSR so you will have to play around and be your own DP.

So I have a Sapphire Reserve but I had not activated the 2-year DashPass promo yet. I am guessing I should just add my Chase Freedom card, get the 3-months free + $10 credit, and then switch over to my Sapphire Reserve for the remainder?

I had added the CSR before, so i got the $15 credit. i then added the freedom, removed csr, deactivated old dash pass, and activated with freedom and got the $10 credit
Are you not allowed to have multiple Chase cards on DashPass at the same time? Was this the year free DashPass or 1 month trial you deactivated? Are you planning on re-adding the CSR back (to use the DashPass credits) after you use up that $10 credit with the CF?

yeah that’s what I thought. I clicked through the link in my email and added the chase card, where it prompted me to get only **one** month free
I did the same thing. I plan to add my 1 year free on my CSR slightly before my 1 month trial ends.
