- Chase 5/24 rule applies to this card
Our Verdict
Best previous offer has been  100,000 points + $50 statement credit. Shame that tht 5/24 rule does apply to this card, because I could see this offer being very popular. If you’re are under 5/24 then this bonus is worth considering if you value IHG points. As always read these things everybody should know about Chase credit cards before applying.

Anyone have issue with the points posting?
So far I have received my $50 statement. I got points from spending posted to my IHG account in April. In May I hit the first spending requirement and on Chase.com it shows that I am receiving the 80k points. However, the 80k nor the regular spending points has posted to my IHG account yet.
I honestly appreciate the innovation of additional bonuses for additional spending in a signup offer. Recently sent a different card to the sock drawer after completing the $2K minimum spend before the 2nd statement even closed. I bet there’s a lot more just like me out there. Credit card issuers should keep you spending the whole first year, just sayin’…
I got the $50 credit, but didn’t get the 5000 points for adding AU and spent.
So if I am currently an AU on someone else’s IHG card, and already received the 5k AU bonus, can I now apply myself and get the bonus?

Could someone please remind me when IHG made the switch from the old card to this one? I’m pretty sure my last IHG card was the “old one”, but I closed it last summer and can’t even recall what it looked like. It was a card I got in July 2017, so I’m thinking that is likely the old card.
Yes that was old card ( gray/orange with only $49 AF), you shd not have closed it. New one ihg premier came in 2018, with higher AF. I have both of them.
I applied for the “old” Chase IHG card, during the last week they were accepting applications, in late March 2018. I hope that helps.
If you want chase hotel card, get the Marriott first, they always have free nights available where as ihg has limited free nights.
ihg has global entry too.
i dont have Hyatt card, people always rave about this card but it has limited footprints, fancy hotel but i have no time to enjoy the hotel. But I wont be eligible for chase card for a long long time.
Just signed up under the deal today, same terms (80k plus 40k with $50 statement credit)
Still there today.
And today as well.
This offer used to show up if you started to book at one of their hotels, now that dummy booking instead shows 50k & $150 statement credit. The link posted still appears to work, but be vigilant and save screen shots in case it doesn’t work automatically.
Does this still work today??
