Our Verdict

This has been available as a public offer in the past. The nice thing about this offer is that there is not any sort of restriction on when/where the free night certificates can be used and you can also top up the certificates with points if they cost more than 50,000 points per night (up to 15,000 points per night). This is a fantastic offer and the best variation we see (normally when it’s flat points it’s only 100,000 points). As this is a public offer we will add it to the best credit card bonuses.

I wonder if people prefer this than the 5 nights offer due to points flexibility.

eh not really. 5 nights offer redeemable for 50k each is pretty awesome as long as you got a trip coming up.

do I have to use the 5 nights consecutively? Can I use 2 nights on a property and 3 nights on a different property the next month?

Does not have to be consecutive, no.

Just learned something really disappointing … the free night certificates DO NOT qualify for “stay 4 get 5” redemptions that standard point awards do! I don’t recall seeing that information previously and given that it’s essentially a point voucher it makes zero sense.

Vouchers never qualified for 4 for 5. You got to think about this deal as “up to 250K Marriott points for one SUB”, and then just try to maximize the use. If you want to account for “4 for 5”, consider it a 200K SUB, still pretty good for Marriott points.

I know the offer details say “please allow 8 weeks” after hitting the minimum spend, but anyone have data points on when they received the 5 free nights?

I hit the $5k spend on 3/11 and received the five nights on 04/13, right after my billing cycle on 04/12. Also, I paid the full bill on 04/13.

Did you get 75k point and $300 eGift card also? I hit the $5k spend March and paid full on Apr. But no free nighs yet. I called Chase and Bonvoy but nobody knows about it. Do you have any idea why?

Both referrals and direct link appear to be dead now.

The direct link is still good, so I am wondering why people are looking at the referral link. Just trying to understand before I apply today. Thanks

Because the direct link shared in the article is a non-public link or ‘hacked’ link, you can see that it does not start from the regular landing page. Do it at your own risk.

The referral link worked on the 28th so I quickly applied and was approved! I really hope the sign up bonus is given.

I would call to make sure the bonus was applied. I got the card a couple years ago and did not get the five free nights.

I applied for the amex business card with the same offer after I was approved for this card. Is that going to mess up the bonus on this one?
