Update 3/31/22: More reports of the 80k offer being offered in some Chase branches, and the $95 annual fee is waived as well. (ht FM)
Update 3/21/22: Looks like it might be available online starting 4/14.
Update 2/8/22: a Reddit report indicates that the 80,000 + waived first year annual fee offer is now again available in Chase branches. YMMV, we need more data points on this to see how widely this is available. Very nice offer if you can get it, though still not as good as the 100k offer.
Update 2/13/22: More people have been targeted via mail. Obviously not as good as the 100k + no annual fee deal that was recently offered. Hat tip to generic19name

Our Verdict
This is obviously a terrific deal if you were targeted. We recently saw this as a public offer. It’s likely a highly targeted mailer, let us know if you got it.

Any recent data points? I am available for the sapphire bonus from today, and of course the referral link offer stopped working just yesterday.
Any indication when this offer might end?
I see the online offer will be ending soon on 5/31 (at 80k)
Do we need to have checking account with bank in order to get approval and fee waiver?
@ritholtz
I only had active credit cards. But was previous checking and investment holder (CPC). I was preapproved, as well. I don’t think there is an account requirement.
I’m glad this site listed the in branch waiver of the $95 for the first year.
The process took about 30 min in the branch yesterday (had appointment). I expect on line would be a little more flexible (don’t need to do it when the branch is open) and probably faster; for me I was willing to stop by the branch while doing other errands.
Preapproved per chase app/online. Went into branch (via appt) today and had $95 af waived offer. Banker said a lot of people inquiring.
5/4 Went into my nearest branch, no CSR to help apply for cc, went to my 2nd nearest branch, was able to apply and get approved with $0 annual fee for the first year
4/30 It worked in branch with $0 first year
It worked for me. I just went into my nearest branch today. The free month automatically populated for the person who was helping me out. It was an “In-branch offer”
Anyone able to open SP with AF waived via phone? It’s a real struggle to find a branch with an available banker. The tellers can’t do anything. $95 might not be worth the time…
I’ve held this card for 7 years, so I’m definitely eligible for the bonus again. My question is: If I cancel the card today, how long do I need to wait before I can signup?
I just had to deal with this. Had the CSR, for which I received the bonus more than 48 months ago, and wanted to open the CSP. Banker told me to close out/downgrade CSR and wait 24 hours for system to process it. Then I could open CSP. I called today to confirm before going in and the offer was not showing up for him. He called the credit card team and they told him the downgrade had to be processed by the credit bureau before I would be eligible for the CSP offer (aka ~30 days…). Not too happy about this. If anyone knows a workaround for this, please let me know!
