[Expired] Chase United MileagePlus Cardholders: Earn 1,000 Miles With BP

Deal has expired, view more Chase United deals by clicking here.

Update 10/26/18: Deal is back and valid until December 31st, 2018 (requirements must be completed before then). We now have a public link so should no longer be targeted.

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • BP is offering up to 1,000 United miles. Bonus is broken down as follows:
    • Select United MileagePlus miles as reward type and link a form of payment to account and receive 200 miles after you make a fuel transaction that earns United miles
    • Chase United MileagePlus cardholders receive an additional 800 bonus miles when the above is completed by December 31st, 2018

Our Verdict

The 200 bonus was offered when this BP gas partnership was launched and is not new, the 800 extra bonus for United MileagePlus cardholders is new. It’s available to all Chase United MileagePlus cardholders. If you already earned the 200 bonus, then you’re not eligible for this extra 800 bonus sadly.

I just tired and would be worth noting that when I linked my account and filled out address info there was a line that said ‘offer not available in california.’ happy to share a screenshot if needed

Redeem 60 miles to get 50 cents off a gallon (max 20 gallons). That’s a nice return for those with large fuel tanks – 60 miles saves $10. Granted BP seems to always be more expensive than other gas stations such as Costco or Grocery Stores.

Note that it is actually 60 miles per gallon for $0.50/gallon off. So only 0.8 cpm. A pretty bad deal actually.

Note that Arco (a subsidiary of BP) is not eligible making this a very regional play. Not west coast friendly.

Wikipedia says BP sold Arco in 2013 — not correct?

I don’t have a Chase UAL card. My email is: We’ve teamed up with BP to give new members a bonus of 500 United MileagePlus® miles when you sign up for BP Driver Rewards.(1) Enroll now to start earning up to 3 miles per gallon2 on BP fuel and 500 bonus award miles when you make your first purchase.

(1) Receive an additional 300 bonus award miles for a total of 500 bonus award miles after you link a form payment and make a fuel transaction by December 31, 2018. Limit one bonus per account.

I got the e-mail and signed up.. and then noticed the small print that said you have to buy gas (at BP?) before October, 2018.. but I’m overseas until next year.. so how I’ll be able to pull this one off.

Dude, it’s about $15 in points. I wouldn’t sweat it.

If you could find a cheap flight (in points) add only pay $6 in taxes each way, you should still be able to net $3.00
