Our Verdict
Not a huge maximum, but still useful for those targeted.
Just got my new statement and even though the 5x bonus showed up online as soon as the transaction posted, the statement did not show the 5x. I just checked, and it’s still showing the bonus online, so I’m sure I will get it, but it seems odd that it would show up online before the statement closes but not be credited on the statement. And yes, the statement does say that it may take extra time for promotional points to be credited.
5x with 2,500 limit makes an impression that it’s achieved with $500 spend.
However, the fine print says:
“Earnings associated with this program will equal 4 bonus ThankYou® Point(s) per $1 spent on eligible purchases … subject to a maximum of 2,500 additional points.”
So, full 2,500 additional points would be earned on $625 spend.
Correct, it’s $625.
I got targeted through physical mail for my Double Cash card, I seem to have a better deal.
“You already earn 2% cash back on purchases: 1% as you buy and 1% as you pay. Now for a limited time, enroll in this special offer and earn an additional 5% cash back, up to $25, on purchases you make online.

The online purchases offers from Citi are really good because I have yet to ind any exclusions. So stuff like insurance and medical bills, which BofA excludes, qualify.
Interesting that yours is an extra 5% back since you actually end up with 7% total back. With the Rewards+ card it’s 4% bonus, 5% total.

Yup, I got that too on the Rewards+ card. It usually arrives after the email with the offer.
I got an invitation in the physical mail. 5% for department stores and clothing stores (up to $25) on my Citi Rewards + card till 4/30/2021.

got it on my expedia. not sure what is categorized as a department store though; Target, Walmart?

I got this via physical mail for my DoubleCash card a couple weeks ago advertising an additional 4% on restaurants/fast food/bars (so 6% total when you account for DoubleCash standard cash back rate). I opted in and already maxed out the $25 maximum bonus.
The offer I received was 3x at Grocery Stores, Drugstores, Mass Transit & Commuter Transportation Vendors on my personal AA card.
