  • Discover is offering some cardholders a $20 bonus when you add your Discover card to a mobile wallet and spend $100 by 12/31/2024

Our Verdict

Basically a free $20 bonus if you get the offer.

I got an email from Discover right before I saw this post… that was just an ad reminding me that Apple Pay exists with no spend offer. 🙁

i received this offer but I can’t figure out the mobile wallet(apply pay) purchase has to be ONE transaction of $100 or can be many transactions until I spend $100 using apply pay?

Travis Since the terms of my offer from Discover say “purchases” and “transactions”, I take it to mean you can do multiple purchases to add up to $100 or more. I did ONE $100+ purchase because the phone with NFC capability is big and not my daily-carry phone. So I didn’t want to keep taking it to the stores to make multiple small purchases.

“New Google Pay™ offer: Earn an extra $10 cash back with your Discover® Card”

Called Discover to verify terms.
Purchased $100 physical Shell gc from giftcards.com via mrrebates. (4% back pending).
GPay linked to Visa with 30% back SUB.
Stacks with Shell Fuel Rewards promos.

They sent out different offers to different cardholders then. My email offer from them says:
Add your Discover® Card ending in XXXX to your Google Wallet. Then earn $20 Cashback Bonus® when you make at least $100 in purchases using your Discover Card with Google Pay in-stores by 12/31/2024.1

I would ask which doesn’t? Most take all wallet pay options via tab.

Mark I used Google Pay in-store last week at ALDI and Dillons (Kroger). Did the Discover $20 offer, and the Amex offer (use Google Pay twice and get $10 back, no minimum stated).

@jcee I bought two bag of chips and a $100 ALDI GC. Total was $104.xx with tax. The terms of my Discover offer don’t have any restrictions against GC.
