[Expired] [Targeted] U.S. Bank/ Fidelity Cards: Get $10-$25 With Two Utility Payments

Deal has ended, view more Fidelity deals by clicking here.

Update: This offer has been sent out now on many U.S. Bank personal and business cards. Updated below.

The Offer

Check email for the following offer on U.S. Bank/Elan/Fidelity personal or business credit cards:

  • Get $10/1,000 when you pay two or more utility bills with your Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature Card by January 31, 2024.
  • Others got an offer for $15.
  • Others got an offer for $25.

The Fine Print

  • Targeted cardholders are already enrolled, no special enrollment necessary.
  • Promotion period is from October 25, 2023, through January 31, 2024.
  • To receive this offer, you must pay two or more electric, gas, water or sanitation bills by January 31, 2024.
  • The Reward Points award will be applied to your account 2-3 billing cycles after the end of the promotion period. The maximum number of Reward Points awards is one. This offer is not transferable. Your account must remain open, have available credit, and be current (no minimum payment past due) to qualify. This offer may not apply if your credit card has changed to a different type of card within the last 12 weeks or changes before the Reward Points award is applied. As Elan Financial Services cannot control how merchants choose to classify transactions, Elan Financial Services cannot guarantee a transaction will qualify. Contact your billers to learn what types of payments they accept — not all billers accept credit card payments. If you have any questions, call Cardmember Service at 888-551-5144.

Our Verdict

Nice little bonus. Just keep in mind the Fidelity card has a minimum $25 cashout threshold.

I got the 1,000-point offer on my Fidelity card but I never use the card so I’d need to get another 1,500 points to cash out, so it’s not worth it.

Has anyone tried paying 2x $1 with this type of offers before?

For once, I have a fairly attractive version, requiring only $250 spend before getting the 20% boost. Last time with a similar bonus, the upfront spend was multiple thousands.

I usually get the offer every time on my Fidelity Visa card. but I don’t get this time. Any Fidelity Visa card holder doesn’t get this time?

This is one of the things that makes the USB Alt Rrv card such a deal with 8 PP experience visits ($28-$35 each visit).

We have always come out ahead as we get these type deals about 4X a year. If you meet the MSR with Mobile pay the SUB is worth $975 in travel. Yeah no travel partners but its an amazing card for 4.5c/$1 on unbonused spend using mobile pay (i.e. Costco, vet, dentist/ortho/etc).

Many people even get $100 worth of RTR points as a retention bonus every year.

We are PC to the Ritz next year to replace the CSR we closed in 2020 and replaced with VenX till they ditched experiences this past January – but we have 3 great PP experiences at PDX as well as lots of great experiences at our primary transit hubs SEA/SFO/DEN.

I love my Altitude Reserve, it has become my favorite card. I am able to use tap to pay everywhere so I am essentially getting 3% on most of my purchases. The fee easily pays for itself.

I got the “Earn $10 Cash Back when you pay utility bills with your card” offer on my Elan Max Cash Preferred Card. The previous two offers that I completed ($10 for Insurance and $10 for Internet) paid $10 in rewards, not in cash. This was annoying because of the $25 minimum for cashing out the rewards.

I plan to change my 5% rewards category to Utilities for 1Q24 and make two utility payments in January.

My email says “Earn a $25 statement credit for paying utility bills.” Reading the T&C, doesn’t have anything regarding the amount needed to charge. Got this on my business card.
