The Offer
No direct link to offer, sent out via e-mail. Subject line is ‘🏆 Bonus $25 to spend on Small Business Saturday’
- NorthOne is offering some customers a $25 credit to use on small business Saturday (11/28) when you use your debit card to make a purchase by November 21, 2020.
Our Verdict
A lot of readers have NorthOne accounts due to the recent $300/$315 bonus. This is a nice extra $25.

They issued a 1099-INT (from Bancorp Bank) for, as far as I can tell, only the promos that involved depositing with no spend requirement. My account is closed and I can’t log in, so I can’t see it it’s online
Got another one: “Use your card. Get $20”
“Spend $20. Get a $20 credit”
“This week only we’ll give you a $20 credit when you use your NorthOne card to make a purchase of $20 or more.”
“A card transaction of $20 or more must be made to qualify for the offer. Limit 1 per customer. Offer cannot be combined with other offers. A $20 deposit will be applied to customers’ NorthOne Account within 30 days of completing the required action. The card transaction must be completed within 1 week (by Jan 26 2023 11:59 PM ET) of receiving the offer. Cumulative Credits of $600 or more will be reported on tax form 1099-MISC.”

Closing my account ~ 1 year and now being billed $10 per month.
Anyone else get this? I didn’t but wonder if it would work for me anyway?

Spend $20 twice, and get $20 back. Weird.

Spend $40 by 8/30, get $20. Not a change, but it’s also worth noting that you gotta click on the email link or other notification to activate it

I guess they don’t like Stockpile for these debit card spend deals: tried buying some stock (directly) at the beginning of the promo period, no popup/credit, made an organic purchase and popup/credit the next day.
They didn’t like Ibotta either; two Ibotta gc purchases, zilch, 2 $20 organic purchases, immediate notification
Email and notification about making $40 purchase, get $20 back today.

FWIW P2 got an email yesterday stating their account (which has been closed for well over a year) was in overdraft. They confirmed via chat this was an error.
“I am terribly sorry for any confusion this message may have caused.
I can confirm that this email was sent in error and can be disregarded. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have been caused.”
Got an email for another one: Spend $40, get $20 back. Ends 6/1. Chuck William Charles
Got this too.
