- Qantas is offering some users a 20% transfer bonus when they transfer credit card points to Qantas.
The Fine Print
- This offer is available to the recipient of this email only and should not be shared. Bonus Qantas Points will only be awarded for transfers of credit or charge card reward points to Qantas Points that take place between 12:01am (AEDT) 20 December 2019 and 11:59pm (AEDT) 30 December 2019
- Please allow up to 15 days after the offer has closed for the bonus Qantas Points to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account with the description ‘Card Transfer Bonus’.
Our Verdict
Qantas only ever targets people for these offers if they have transferred before, so if you want to get targeted it might make sense to do a small transfer now and then wait to be targeted. We also saw a targeted bonus of 15%/25% recently, although getting the 25% required a transfer of 500,000 points plus. The upside to that offer was that American Express was running a transfer bonus at the same time and the deals stacked. When that happened the American Express transfer bonus came days after the original Qantas bonus. Because of that I’d recommend waiting to see if that happens again (unless of course you need the miles ASAP).
