[Expired] [Targeted] U.S. Bank/Elan Cards: Get $10-$25 With Internet, Phone, Cable Payment

Deal has ended, view more U.S. Bank deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Some U.S. Bank cardholders and Elan/Fidelity cardholders are getting the following targeted offer:

  • Get 1,000 points ($10) when you  pay an internet, cable, or cell phone bill by May 31, 2023.
  • Others got a better offer for 2,500 points ($25).

The Fine Print

  • Promotion period is from April 4, 2023, through May 31, 2023.
  • To receive this offer, you must pay your internet, cable or cell phone bill by May 31, 2023.
  • The points award will be applied to your account 2-3 billing cycles after the end of the promotion period.

Our Verdict

Easy win with a small payment. (Note regarding the Fidelity card – there is a minimum cashout on that card, so keep that in mind before making use of this offer.)

New offer sent by email: Earn 20% more Reward Points (up to 2,000 Reward Points) on purchases¹ — worth up to $20 when redeemed as cash back² into an eligible Fidelity® account³ — after you spend $400.
Enroll by June 30, 2023, and eligible purchases made from June 1 – July 31, 2023, will count toward this offer.

How it works: Spend $400 during offer period, get normal rewards. After $400, earn an extra 0.4 points per $1, up to 2000 bonus points (so up to $5000 spend) in the offer period. So it is 2.4% CB on that $5k spend, but including the initial $400 spend, it is 2.37% CB on the $5400. Not amazing, but OK offer.

This is some bait and switch !
on the top of email. “Earn $10 cash back when you set up automatic payments or pay one bill at a time with your card by May 31, 2023.”

then the fine print “This offer may not apply if your credit card has changed to a different type of card within the last 12 weeks or changes before the cash back award is applied”

that means it’s not 10$, you have to keep paying your bill with this credit card to get 10$, meaning your cant use your other credit cards with 5% cashback !

I think they mean if you have switched CC products and no longer have that card. Not which card you are paying with.

no, the terms are saying if you do a card product change then the $10 back won’t apply. changing the card after 1 payment is fine.

Never targeted by Fido for these offers. Do you need to check the statement or Fidelity?
