The Offer
Check your U.S. Bank offers for the following deals if you have a U.S. Bank Smartly checking account. You have to belong to one of four tiers or be a member of a particular member group to see these offers. More info here:
- 15% on on grocery stores (in store), up to $20 back.
- 15% back on department stores, up to $25 back.
Our Verdict
Grocery offer is nice. If you don’t have a smartly checking account there are big bonuses available.
Hat tip to BACON
William Charles eBay is an easy way to trigger the department store deal. I figured it would work, as these category deals are MCC based and eBay earns 5% on the Cash+ card for the same category.
BACON tagging you bc we talked about this under the other post.
Kohls ended up restocking Amazon gift cards. Was able to get 15% + 5% on wifes Cash+ and 15% + 1% on my cash+. Ultimately netting 15% and 11% respectively because of my normal amazon visa usage. If you have access to Prizeout+ via a bank or somewhere else, Ebay gift cards periodically go on sale for 15% off with no cap.
I was never able to see any offers under my US Bank account. Is it a settings issue?
Read THE OFFER section above, explains it nicely.
I saw these offers over the weekend. I immediately activated the 15% off grocery offer and bought a $134 Amazon gift card from Whole Foods (Amazon gift cards are no longer available in any other retail store in NY) using my Altitude Reserve for another 4.5%.
i cant believe its there

Edit thread title, 15%, not 20%
Pinged you from the old US Bank thread about this a few days ago.
Anybody know about another double up day or period?
Fixed, thank you!
so if you have a biz card, you cant see deals on personal cards and im assuming debit cards. is there any way to fix it? a separate log-in for biz?
Nope
USB occasionally sends emails about your cashback deals available. Bookmark/save that email and use the link in it to access your deals.
No. Same issue here.
I have both a USB credit card and USB Smartly Checking. Where do I find these offers? Right now, I’m only seeing the standard card-linked offers for my USB credit card. Thanks.
I’ve never seen them either. It’s implied you may have to be in a rewards tier ($5k+) which probably isn’t worth it? If someone could clarify that would be awesome. May just be an issue with their tech stack
Right. Need deposits over $20k or be in one of their special customer groups. Details on their website.
You have to belong to one of four tiers or be a member of a particular member group to see these offers and what is required is explained here:

William Charles might be a good idea to add this link to the post whenever these offers come about as this type of question gets asked every time by newcomers to the US Bank Smartly program.
That’s very helpful, thanks.
Added to post, thank you.
P1 / P2 seem to qualify because we both own Statefarm Visa CC’s
You must be in the Primary tier or higher which requires $20K in assets except if you have the State Farm checking account or qualify for the Military segment group which automatically gives you one of the higher tiers with no asset requirement.
