Update 3/29/25: The landing page states that the offer is targeted and “available only to the person addressed in the mailer or email.” Not worth signing up unless you were targeted. It also shows a May 23, 2025 expiration. (When I checked for targeted terms yesterday I did not see this. I probably confused this offer page with the offer page on the other public offer.)

Our Verdict
The prior deal was $300 for the checking; this deal is $100 more. (You should also be able to get ~$100 on top of either offer by signing up via Swagbucks/MP.)
The savings is the bigger bump here with a possible bonus of up to $1,600. It does require $200,000 deposit, but there is a bump rate for someone with $100k+ of 3.51%, so there interest rate is decent. I’d consider this if I had the cash to hold up for a few months. I’d maybe do the $100k tier for the $1,000 savings bonus.

Opened a TD account with a targeted $400 bonus promo in mailer. They never paid after 6+ months. When I reached out to them, they asked to share original mailer that was sent to me but of course I had thrown it out by then. Closed account and moved on.
Early account termination fee: Six months, bonus forfeitIt’s not a problem, I can move out my $100,000 out of my savings account once I receive the bonus, that’s what matters to me, then I can leave my savings and checking account open with a small sum.
I couldn’t complete the opening online (there was some message telling that it could not be completed, after I entered my social security number and other details) so I had to go to my local branch, they opened the accounts and they will send an email of the picture of the promotion I received in the mail.
any maintenance fee/minimum balance reqs?
TD Bank has historically not been churnable. I just want to offer a DP and word of caution: I tried churning this after the terms changed, and I was denied a bonus anyways for having had a previous account. They held firm even after I hit them with a CFPB complaint. I finally gave up and closed the account.
P2 did this late last year, and bonus was never paid. In the process of closing the accounts and moving on.
What does P2 mean?
Offer valid from March 20, 2025, through May 23, 2025, and is available only to the person addressed in the mailer or email. Anyone taking chance on this exclusive line ?? I didn’t receive anything on this , should we take chance or just pass it ?
Cashback Monitor’s links to cashback sites:
TD Beyond Checking: https://www.cashbackmonitor.com/cashback-store/td-beyond-checking/
TD Convenience Checking: https://www.cashbackmonitor.com/cashback-store/td-convenience-checking/
Could not find anything for TD Complete Checking.
NOTE: Whether these links are available after you log into a cashback site is YMMV. Offers that can be seen publicly are sometimes not available after you login. Be sure to read the offer carefully and make sure it is the same offer that you want on this post – sometimes the offers do not matchy-match.
I tried these links but it give less bonus than what’s in the mail.
You wrote “I believe this offer is available for everyone and I believe you can do the savings offer or the checking offer or both offers.” For targeted offers like this,
William Charles usually at least puts a warning and/or writes “Targeted” in the title.
There is still a $300 dollar public offer available without the savings bit. It expires on 4/30. If the SB stack works that’s still not a bad deal.
300 offer: https://www.td.com/us/en/personal-banking/checking-bonus/pmx-offer
DoC’s post on that offer: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/targeted-td-bank-300-checking-200-savings-bonus/
EDIT: Link at top of that post is not the same offer as the one posted by Peek, above. This one expires March 31:
https://checkingbonus.tdbank.com/Digital500.html
I specifically checked for targeted terms when I posted and did not see them. I also saw a March 30 expiration. My guess is that I confused the two landing pages.
Updated now as Targeted. Thx
Only one problem
“Customers who received a bonus on a prior checking and/or savings account do not qualify”
I read the same thing. I’m guessing this means is not churnable?
with there were more data points. someone else posted that you can still get it.
For reference, on the $200k/90day/$1600/0.0351 APY, the effective APY with the bonus is 6.88%.
Below $100k the base interest rate on the account drops so the yields will vary despite the better bonus per $.
$200k -> 6.88%
$100k -> 7.736%
$50k -> 7.134%.
$30k -> 7.445%
$10k -> 10.06%
This all assumes you keep the $ in there for as close to the 90 days as possible and not longer, and doesn’t factor in the checking account bonus, combined bonus, etc.
If there was no anti churn language this may have been worth the most at 100K tier —> 3.51% relationship bump rate + about 3.72% annualized (98 days total, few more on each side of 90) from $1000 bonus —> at 7.23% yield.
Worst case without a bonus $1000, you actually loose about $250, at 3.51 vs 4.45 in HYSA.
Do you know how much percent the IRS takes on this bonus?
Added to your income, so what ever you tax rate is for the filing year.
