There are a few separate offers now available for the Marriott Rewards credit card.
Contents
$200 Marriott Gift Card + 55,000 Points
- Signup for the Marriott Rewards Premier credit card from Chase and receive a $200 Marriott gift card and 50,000 Marriott points after spending $3,000 within 3 months.
- Also, receive an additional 5,000 points after adding an authorized user and making a purchase within 3 months.
- Annual fee is waived the first year, then $85.
- Apply before January 31, 2016.
Caution: The landing page makes it sound a little that this is a targeted offer as it says: “Reply before January 31, 2016″ versus the standard, ‘Apply by January 31, 2016’. All the other language of the terms makes it sound like a regular credit card offer with the regular 24-month lingo etc., so I assume it will work for anyone.

- Annual fee is waived the first year, then $85.
- Apply by December 31, 2015.

Final Thoughts
Call me a party-pooper, but I’m thinking of going for the first offer and just selling off the gift card for $176 to Cardpool. From what I read on Reddit, it sounds like Marriott points can also be converted into a Marriott gift card; the 55,000 points will become at least $200 in Marriott gift cards. This will bring the total cash value of the signup bonus to $352 after selling the gift cards – with no annual fee. Not bad. I’m due for a Southwest application in a few weeks and if this offer holds until then, it could make sense to throw it in and get the inquiries combined.
Depending how you value Marriott points, the other offers may be better.

I received the targeted offer for #1 in the mail (50k points + $200 gift card).
But the $3000 spending requirement is a bit too much for me. Does anyone have any data points (even hearsay) about how the Chase Marriott works on CC funding of bank accounts?
I just received the PNC bank promotion a few days ago and received the Chase and Regions and Discover and Citigold bank promotions in the last five months.
If anyone can think of a decent intersection of a modest bank promotion that could be funded with a Chase Marriott card (but not as a cash advance), I’d be delighted to hear it. Even if the bank account funding is limited to $1000, that would bring the spending requirement for the card down to a manageable level for me.
I have read through the “Bank Accounts That Can Be Funded With A Credit Card” page and it sounds like Chase tends to post as a cash advance — but that there have also been exceptions.
Any thoughts?
I’m sure there are some out there that would work, but I don’t know which off-hand.
Seems to me like this is A, B, C, testing… interesting to see how they equate different benefits from a points standpoint.
Gman,
All my chase Inquiries have combined in the past (2 instances). Chase Pulled Experian for me. When i see report from them its only one Inquiry on those days.
Its always better to check the actual Credit Report from the CB where chase pulled from for you. That will show if Inquiries combines or not.
People also its YMMV, so better check the report and check yours.
Are you sure the inquiries combined for chase
Today – I applied for Marriott and IHG credit cards and both got approved after speaking with rep.
When i looked in my Credit Karma page – I am able to see two inquiries from Chase added in my Transunion report
Regarding the first offer, $200 Marriott Gift Card + 55,000 Points, below is what I asked Chase and their answer. It is targeted.
To: @ChaseSupport Is the below offer open to everyone, or is it targeted?

This is a specific offer from Marriott. You would have needed to receive a direct mail offer from them to be eligible. ^TZ
I hate these multiple types of offers that Chase has never honored. I signed up for one and they said that it’s not the offer I clicked and signed up for. Escalated to the manager and the same thing even though I took a screen cap of it.
