- You will receive a bonus based on the lowest daily balance you maintain in your account for the period prior to each bonus payment, but each bonus payment will not be more than half of the maximum bonus you are eligible for.

Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Average balance of $2,500+ required to avoid the monthly fee
Early Account Termination Fee
$20 if closed within 90 days
Our Verdict
Your best bet would be to open the account on May 1st and then fund it as late as possible in that first 30 day period. You’re still going to need to keep the funds in the account until December 31st, 2020 which is roughly six months (best case). This works out to be an additional 2% APY. The money market accounts earn 0.4%-0.65% so this is an annualized return of 2.4-2.65%. Not bad considering the current market conditions, but not good either. Because of that we won’t be adding this to our list of the best savings account bonuses.

Can a federal credit union discriminate based on religion?
Religion seems like the one thing the government exempts from the laws against ‘discrimination’ in many (not all) situations.

$500??? praise mighty baby jesus! and just like that im a believer
I think it’s really irritating that every time there is anything to do with Christianity posted on this site there’s always rude comments. Very tolerant.
I’m reminded every time why I don’t post dp’s on here anymore. I used to think that the doc community was great until I saw this, and people say they are hurt by the rude comments that were said without any provocation whatsoever, but it still continues and never fails, on Every. Single. Christian. Post.
I think you are just taking it personally. When is the last time you examined the comments from the Hindu, Muslim, or Jewish bank bonus post? Oh, well there aren’t any. I’m an equal opportunity bank bonus kinda guy and will be tolerant of anyone paying me to jump through a couple hoops.
Half of these comment are recycled every time. Just get that bonus and ignore the noise. DPs help everyone 🙂
Okay bye bye.
I have found it interesting that, out of people I really know and hung out with since I was a teenager, the most church going people, except one person I used to work with and still know who is very consistent regarding his religion, were the same people who had the least problem with breaking those Ten Commandments, then being absolved, obviously every single week at confession
User Tiresome is right. I’m an ardent atheist but if Christians want to set up a Christian bank then good luck to them. You don’t have to bank there if you don’t agree with their philosophy.
Mocking Christians is just as bad as mocking Jews, Muslims or any other religion.
Agreed. Not a Christian, but I find it very mean to keep associating Christian = Conservative = Republican = Trump Supporter. I’ve been to church several times as a non-Christian and I’ve met some of the nicest and kindest people there. Not everyone is a hardcore about it.
haha butt hurt christian.

P.S.: And since 7+ months brings the value down even further, I agree with it not being a worthwhile offer.

Practicing family values: staying a virgin until marriage, focusing on family, helping your own kids and passing on your success to your kids and descendants, no divorce and no adultery, not stealing or supporting those who do, not bearing false witness against your neighbor, not taking the lord’s name in vein. Not being a drunkard or destroying your body. Supporting freedom so people can make choices for themselves (Even bad ones) and show God how good and wise they are instead of being forced by government not to do something to their own bodies by threats (yes the war on drugs is wrong, prohibition was wrong, laws that criminalize friends playing poker for money are wrong and so are seat belt laws). It is a tenet of Christianity that people need to be free to make choices for his or her own body so god can see one’s true character.
Isn’t making money off of interest against the Christian faith?
It’s considered being a good steward. There’s a parable about that in the Bible.
That’s islam
Meh
Hallelujah!
I was going to say that 🙁
Amen brother
