Holy crap. I haven’t seen a Dairy Queen since around March 1971.
Doc, check your grammar and spelling.
if it’s one Italian item, it’s one Italian ice.
Just like it’s one free cone from Dairy Queen.
It’s not a free Italian “ices” per person.
Rita’s calls it Italian ice, not “ices”
if you’re ever in Rita’s territory, try the gelati, it’s incredible!
It’s free Italian ices per people
Is it the 20th? The banner shows March 20th so I’m unsure. Also the link just takes me to the DQ website with no indication of any offers
no locations in the Seattle area.
whoops. didn’t see that this also applied to DQ. DQ free cone is 3/21, a Monday.
There are several things different for Rita’s in spring 2022, none of which are mentioned in this post:
1. App download is now required before March 20. The reward requires a QR code which is intended to limit churning. This also means people without mobile devices get nothing.
2. Reward is valid for the entire week of 3/20-3/27 instead of one day. Ironically, this also means more opportunities to churn.
I wonder if it’s same for DQ
Think you also have to sign up for a loyalty account
thanks doc! local DQ was pretty busy but short lines. family was happy so win-win!!!
Glad to be able to help
Free ice cream(healthy version) everyday when you make your own. Keep bowl in freezer for 24 hours. Mix heavy cream, coconut milk, vanilla extract, whey protein and dark chocolate morsels. Pour into freezer bowl and let it spin for 25 minutes and you have yourself ice cream.

Where do you get heavy cream, coconut milk, vanilla extract, whey protein and dark chocolate morsels for free?
Link is for item priced at $65. Seems more expensive than free.
-1 the above post. And I dunno how to tell if it’s an affiliate link, but if it is would consider removing the above post entirely.
What’s an affiliate link?
Heavy cream is healthy? 🙂
Interesting product though. Not too cost-effective.
The brand that I bought from Sam’s Club has 50 calories and 3.5 g of saturated fat., 1 g carbs. Everything else is 0% with the exception of potassium 15mg. What would be unhealthy about it?
That’s store bought, The ingredients of making your own you listed. 1 Tbsp of heavy cream is 50 calories. Make your own ice cream recipes usually call for 1 cup+ of the cream, that’s a lot of calories.
Someone who runs 50 plus miles a week, lift weights along with other cardio exercises is not counting calories. I only watch my sodium and sugar intake. I barely watch carbs as it gives me the energy to maximize my fitness routine.
Which brand is that? You said the free, healthy version was the way to go.
But Low Carb! #Ketolife
Yes, Keto friendly.
You must be fun at parties
You don’t need that thing, it’s a waste of money. A friend of mine makes her own ice cream by mixing heavy cream, sugar and ingredients to flavor it (strawberries, chocolate syrup, whatever) in a hand mixer in a plastic container, then freezing it.
It melts fairly quickly, but makes excellent ice cream. It’s also a hell of a lot cheaper than using that device . You might even have a hand mixer already and don’t need to spend any additional money.
I don’t see anything on the DQ website… do you need to download the app? is it a coupon?
No, just walk in, if there isn’t a long line already.
ill drive by a location on my way home… if it’s legit then I’ll come back with the fam.
