The Offer
- Topcashback is offering 10% cashback on any discounted gift card purchased on Raise.com.
The Fine Print
- “Raise Pay” purchases are non-commissionable
- Orders submitted over $1000 are not eligible for cash back
- Bulk Seller listings are not eligible for cashback (this line in the terms is a bit confusing/misleading; readers often ask about it, my advice is just to ignore it)
- Using a promotional/coupon code not posted and approved by TopCashback
- If you use a code that we have not provided you with then there is a strong chance that your cashback will be declined or go untracked to your account
- Orders submitted under $20 are not eligible for cash back
- After you have placed over $5,000 in lifetime purchases on Raise.com, you will no longer be eligible for cash back
Our Verdict
Pretty sweet offer, but again, it only applies to those who have not done $5,000 in lifetime Raise purchases, even if they did not use a portal on their prior purchases.
Hat tip to reader Audrey
Now it is 5% – ends today
no confirmation emails after spending $300. Never have success with 10% offers.
Hi Steve,
It can take up to 7 days for a purchase to track in your earnings with us! It might be that it just needs a little bit longer to pop up in your earnings 🙂
Thanks,
Jack
I recommend that everyone pass this one up. Among all portals, they are known for denying payout based on flimsy reasons or if they do pay it requires much more work (emailing, etc). Avoid TopCashBack and stick with the better ones.
Any suggestions for the better ones? Which one is better?
Xinqing Wang In terms of customer service and tracking consistency, Giving Assistant, Mr. Rebates, and Rakuten/Ebates are all better. But none of them have the kinds of one-day flash sales that TCB does.
TCB is great for me. Also no other portals offering anything close to 10%.
Made $150 bucks in cashback from TCB/Raise on their last sale.
I’ve never had a problem with TCB, but have had problems with other portals.
Will it be cash advance if paid by credit card?
No
No.
Can’t we just make/use another account to bypass the $5K limit?
They have your name, your billing address, your mailing address, your credit card numbers, you don’t think they could figure it out?
Anyone knows if the $5000 limit is for the face value or for the actual amount we paid?
I assume it’s based on actual amount paid.
Thanks.
5000 limit reach since last time 20% promo lol.
It would be nice if you could combine this with Discover/PayPal 5% back…but Raise only lets you use PayPal on the app, and I don’t think is a way to access TopCashback while using the app? I also wished this worked on Cashback gift cards, that would be sweet…
So the limit has gone down from $10000 to $5000?
According to DoC in February, it was $10K: “The Offer Direct link to offer Mr Rebates is offering 8% cash back on Raise.com purchases The Fine Print Cash Back given on the first $10,000 of purchases per customer lifetime purchases.”
Hopefully, the $5K is an error and not a change!
i think the purchase limit is unique to the cashback site? like, raise might give Mrrebates a limit of $10k and Topcashback a $5k limit
You apparently are correct. I did find the language on TCB in which the $5K limit is clearly stated. For anyone interested, it is in the “What could stop me from getting cash back” section.
How to track the the lifetime purchase on raise.com
Order History
I assume we have to do the math ourselves. I came up with around 4700 just quickly rounding off numbers.
