The Offer
- Topcashback is offering 8% back on Raise.com gift card purchases.
The Fine Print
- Orders submitted under $20 are not eligible for commission.
- Note that cash back will not be earned if you sell a gift card on Raise.
- Promo codes and/or cash back cannot be earned on purchases made from the “Raise Cash Back Gift Cards” section on the Raise.com website. (Raise offers two types of gift cards: ‘Cash Back Gift Cards’ and ‘Discount Gift Cards’. Unfortunately, Raise does not let shoppers use promo codes on cards marked under ‘Raise Cash Back’ section. Promo codes and/or cash back cannot be earned on purchases made from the “Raise Cash Back Gift Cards” section on the Raise.com website.)
- Orders submitted over $1000 are not eligible for cash back.
- Using a promotional/coupon code not posted and approved by TopCashback. If you use a code that we have not provided you with then there is a strong chance that your cashback will be declined or go untracked to your account.
- After you have placed over $5,000 in lifetime purchases on Raise.com, you will no longer be eligible for cash back.
- Valid today only, 8/23/19.
Our Verdict
This stacks nicely with the 7% discount sitewide going on today with promo code SUNNY7; Topcashback clearly allows the stacking of these two. Just remember the $5,000 lifetime limit excludes a lot of us from being eligible.
Hat tip to reader Jerold
Can you explain this: After you’ve placed over $5,000 in lifetime purchases on Raise.com, you will no longer be eligible for cash back. I’ve purchased over $10,000. Does this mean I won’t get the 8%for TCB from my recent purchase?
Wayne Correct. Once you exceed $5,000 in lifetime purchases on Raise, you have to use other portals with higher lifetime limits — you cannot use TCB. At $10,000, you have also exceeded the limit for most other portals (e.g. Mr. Rebates), but a few like Giving Assistant and Ebates should still work.
Thank you
Correct
Mine posted within a few hours but available in 10 weeks 😭
Chuck, you guys probably have more credibility than any other credit/travel blogger out there. But you give a little bit of it away when you promote TCB without warning how sketchy they are in your verdict.
Just one man’s opinion.
Purchased $200 with SUNNY7 at 10:30AM, tracked for $15 back at 3:30PM
Purchased a little over $500.00 and TCB said didn’t track although I went through their site. Their site is saying promo codes and cash back can not be earned, so I’m thinking the deal is dead?
“Raise offers two types of gift cards: ‘Cash Back Gift Cards’ and ‘Discount Gift Cards’. Unfortunately, Raise does not let shoppers use promo codes on cards marked under ‘Raise Cash Back’ section. Promo codes and/or cash back cannot be earned on purchases made from the “Raise Cash Back Gift Cards” section on the Raise.com website.”
You misread the language. Promo codes and cash back can be earned together if you buy “Discounted Gift Cards”, but not for “Raise Cash Back Gift Cards”.
Thank you for your reply. Then there is still hope for me.
What’s the $5000 lifetime limit? Is that from TCB?
Nope. Lifetime orders on Raise.com.
cant you easily just open another account?
Wait what? Isn’t it $5000 on raise through TCB. After maxing $5000, I can use other portals on raise and still get cashback right?
Eric Yes, you can still use other portals once you are over $5,000 in lifetime purchases on Raise. Most portals have a $10,000-$15,000 lifetime limit.
I’m confused – do you have to get gift cards worth over $20 each or can you get several gift cards as long as they add up to over $20?
I’m guessing you can combine multiple gift cards, so long as it’s paid in a single checkout.
Charles You can definitely combine multiple cards. So $5 x 4 should be fine as long as you buy them all at the same time.
Use paypal with discover for another 5%
How are you able to use Paypal on Raise? I haven’t been able to find that option.
I think to have to validate your email and phone number under your profile. Hadn’t done it yet but I seen the option. I kinda thought it was mainly if you sold gift cards to raise.
PayPal is only available via the Raise App so you can’t stack it with TCB since TCB doesn’t launch the app and only the website
TopCashback is now claiming my Raise purchases didn’t track. I have screenshots that say otherwise. TCB owes me hundreds of dollar. Curious how Rakuten shows my purchase is tracking and sends me an email showing the purchase was tracked, but TCB doesn’t. Who else is owed money by TCB?
I did 3 purchases, only the 1st tracked even though I went through tcb everytime.
There are plenty of warnings about that happening. With TopCashBack, part of the scam is to deny a high percentage of legitimate claims. You can never know whether they actually got revenue from that merchant. It’s the perfect set up.
TCB not paying out is starting to sound like we need to file a complaint with the FTC for fraud. Too many of us are having issues that it is not a one-off problem that TCB would like to pretend it is.
IS SUNNY7 still working?
Yes.
