It said “Promotion runs from December 17, 2018 through December 27, 2018 at 2 am PST” on the promotion website. Is it a deal from last year?

I just figured it out.  William Charles used the wrong direct link. Here is the correct one:

Caveat: Topcashback actively seeks ways not to pay out. Email requests for help often go nowhere as they’ll pull the ‘other channel’ BS. YMMV.

Exactly! Email the company and they will shut you down. TCB takes days to respond, weeks to pay, and some are never paid. TCB has a myriad of reasons, but shockingly, any issues with Rakuten or MyPoints are quickly resolved. It’s not a deal if you don’t get paid. TCB owes me quite a bit of money.

Will there be fees for vgc?

I stopped using TCB when I made a purchase through them, had cashback track, sit at pending for a year, and after multiple attempt to contact them to be told “that merchant no longer participates with us so we will not be paying you out.” Awful customer service.

How is Walmart money worth more than Visa money? makes no sense

It’s not worth more to the redeemer, but since a Walmart GC won’t expire but the VGC will, their values differ to the issuer.

As someone else mentioned, cashing out for a VGC and immediately using that to buy a non-expiring GC elsewhere (or some other use before expiration) will yield the most value. But inevitably some people will let it expire, otherwise the numbers wouldn’t be what they are.

Since the Visa option offers 6%, why would anyone choose the amazon, walmart or target offer at a lower rate? Couldnt you just pickup the Visa option and buy the amazon, walmart or target giftcard using the visa gift card? Am I missing something here?

These Virtual Visa Gift cards have a few month expiration date. So perhaps they get them at a bigger discount than Amazon or Walmart, etc., due to this potential loss.

True you could take the Visa and buy Amazon GC right away with it. But what happens, like with me, you might prefer to use the Visa on something else that might come up, and use your Amazon CC instead, so you hold the Visa, but then forget about it and loose all of the money as a possibility.

Checking google, the VGC only gets up to 7%. Last time in March. Not worth waiting so I agree this is the time to withdraw for VGC.

Thanks for the info. Is 6% highest ever for VGC?

Annoyed by this whole post. I thought it was referring to a discount at the purchase end. But instead, it’s a mere increase on the payouts. (I still prefer the direct cash back to the checking account) .

So by golly, if you’ve earned 1% on your past vgc PURCHASES, and say if you buy 5,000 worth of vgc’s via giftcards.com, and have $50 sitting there, you’ll get about an extra dollar “bonus” payout. Big wow.

Or just read the title again, because it seemed pretty clear to me what the post would be about before even clicking it.

Virtual VGC won’t work for usual liquidation methods–gas, groceries, MOs, or digital wallet transactions–but should work to pay bills online. Here’s correct link. https://www.topcashback.com/blog/holiday-payout-bonus/ And old link. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/topcashback-increase-payout-options-e-g-7-bonus-with-vgc/

Can the virtual VGCs be added to Apple/Google Pay and used in-store that way?

The virtual VGC won’t work for digital wallet transactions.
