For some time a number of readers have been having issues with Topcashback and Raise purchases. Cash back was tracking correctly but was then declined by Raise due to a system bug (other portals were also affected but Topcashback frequently offers 10% cashback on Raise purchases so most complaints seemed to be TCB focused). Back in April the declined cash back was reversed by the retailer, but then a secondary issue caused it to be declined again for some readers.
Topcashback has been working with Raise and now all of these issues should be resolved. If you’re still having any issues I’d recommend reaching out to Dominque on [email protected].
Our team worked very closely with the Raise network to not only identify the problem but to also provide data that ultimately helped them resolve it (not only for TopCashback, but for all partners affected.
Additionally, Dominique, our Customer Care Team, and our Transactions Team manually reviewed every single email/inquiry that we received coming from Doctor of Credit in relation to this particular Raise issue. Not only did we provide every member with a $5 credit to say thanks for their patience, but we recovered the declined Raise cash back from Raise for every member that was owed it. In some instances, if Raise was not willing to provide the cash back to the member for reason xyz, TopCashback went ahead and paid it out anyway out of pocket. (Please note, in that time there were a small handful of members who returned/cancelled their Raise order and those, of course, we could not provide cash back too (though they still received a $5 credit anyway too).
Yes, TCB is now offering to assist. But, where were they months ago? TCB made people file tedious claims individually as if our time was valueless. They also combined submissions so there was no way to tell if you were paid or not.?
Now they are saying, we are here to help. They weren’t there to help months ago and made people like myself feel bad for complaining. My claims

We would never make anyone feel poorly for complaining as we took each and every claim seriously and worked hard to resolve the issue. We don’t anticipate any similar issues occurring in the future.

William Charles Chuck TopCash has a $2.5 spend Bonus going right now. Also Raise Stopped allowing PrePaid GiftCards! Just tried and my account got suspended and the cards i ordered was cancelled. Just an FYI for those trying to liquidate some prepaids, it won’t work. The lady at raise said they are having a problem refunding the prepaids cards back so they quit allowing them. Use only debit and credit, i wonder if this is currently the case for their new Slide app also!

I went to PayPal and added the MC prepaid and it shows but isn’t an option at Raise when I use PayPal. I also just tried to add the card thru the raise link in PayPal. Doesn’t show up but says it was added.
Anyone else have the ability to link it successfully?
I gave up and left Topcashback. The little bit extra I earned wasn’t worth the aggravation. Rakuten is so much better with no stress and fighting. TCB’s process is tedious.
I love a deal, but sometimes, the amount of time I need to spend to get the money is not worth the extra time.

Really? I’ve heard this song before. Always another issue, always another resolution followed by another issue.
It’s not just Raise. Other retailers don’t track, or the cash promotion TCB itself offers for a minimum spend doesn’t show up.
I’m tired of chasing TCB around for a few bucks. Just waiting for the last few messed-up transactions to be decided yea or nay (2-3 months to resolve, TCB? Really?), then cashing out and taking my leave.

As mentioned, cash back has tracked just fine via Raise, but then it was declined by the retailer due to a bug, which TopCashback had no involvement in. There is almost always a reason/solution for why cash back may have gone untracked and I’d be happy to help you investigate the transactions you are referring to in which you are seeing an issue with tracking.

@William For most of us that have been around a while, you’ll see a pattern with TCB not honoring cash back at several retailers including Raise. Take a took at any of reddit threads relating to them and you know what I’m talking about.
I for one, will probably not try them again. I’m happy with the service and confidence that Rakuten/Ebates offers even though the payout is sometimes marginally less.
I can only really go based on my own experiences. For me TCB tracks better than other portals, I know others have better success with rakuten/ebates but I find their rates to be significantly lower and I’ve had more issues with tracking there. Not sure if I’m doing something different to others or what

If it was an error and can be proven with a receipt etc, we will always compensate for the cashback. We are fair and always try best to help our members out. When a retailer denies cashback, that is not in our control. When a retailer does this, it’s because an item was ineligible for cashback, a promo code was used, or another term was broken. Not true. I did not have a good experience with TopCashBack customer service not long ago. I followed all the terms & conditions to the best of my ability and only something that was not obvious caused the issue. I was denied cash back all because some technical error caused the transaction to not be tracked. I made sure to follow all rules but somehow cashback failed to track (and customer service’s reasoning was that I should have cleared cache but even this reasoning was no where to be found in their support)…
TLDR; they told me I was SOL even though I followed their rules on their cash back info page.

I got issue with Dell purchases does not track multiple times in July.
P/S: Anybody know if Dell And Dell Technologies interchangeable in term of cashback? I think I’ve got cashback from these as long as the site was dell.com
