The Offer
- Brokerage TradeStation is offering a bonus of $150-$3,500 when you transfer qualifying assets into your account. Account must be funded with the qualifying assets within 45 days of enrolling in the promotion. Qualifying assets must be maintained for 270 days. The bonus you receive is split into the following tiers:
- $150 bonus with $5,000 in qualifying assets
- $300 bonus with $25,000 in qualifying assets
- $500 bonus with $100,000 in qualifying assets
- $1,000 bonus with $250,000 in qualifying assets
- $2,000 bonus with $500,000 in qualifying assets
- $3,500 bonus with $1,000,000 in qualifying assets
Our Verdict
Can’t have received a bonus from TradeStation before. This is better than the previous similar bonus, but not as easy as the $100/$150 bonuses.

I have a slight correction. We are all replaceable except for
William Charles. Without him, there would be no DoC. I think that you would be lost without the site much more than I would be. 😉
Could no one else run the site? Eventually he is going to have to pass it on or let it fade away.
I wouldn’t say DoC is the first to run this type of site but is certainly the most successful in terms of high quality community engagement and contributors, it almost runs itself. The other sites/blogs/forums don’t have nearly as much engagement, steal content from other sites like DoC, and many are for click-throughs/referrals.
I rarely even go to the other websites anymore since DoC filters out most of the important information. With that said, I think the success of DoC goes hand in hand with the community staying engaged and helping each other out. I think the only current replacement would be Reddit churning but we all know how toxic that place can be and definitely isn’t for beginners whereas DoC serves all knowledge levels as well.

I forgot to close my old TradeStation account.. are people with an existing account with $0 balance still able to get this bonus?
Awful broker. Platform is archaic. Fees ridiculously above the industry standard. There is an account termination fee and ridiculous fees for ACATS transfers. I wouldn’t even waste my time trying to get the offer because the fees will just eat it up.

For those who fulfilled the terms but TradeStation is refusing to pay you the bonus, you might want to file a complaint with FINRA. This ended up working for me several months ago when TradeStation changed the terms after I’d signed up. I still haven’t gotten the bonus from Feb..it’s so much hassle not worth it. Complete waste of time

They are the opposite of prompt with bonus payments.
If you want a bare bones broker to buy and sell stocks, this is it. If you expect any kind of customer service, forget it. Churn the bonus if you want, the account is not a keeper.
I called them today and hung up after being on hold for 20 minutes.
I’ve been a client since 2018, I’ve called a few times and had no trouble 🤷🏻♂️
