(Expired) Transfer From Capital One To JetBlue & Get 5,000 Bonus Points (1,000 : 5,600)

Update: Offer seems to be available for everyone and reportedly can be done for each card separately.

The Offer

Capital One recently added JetBlue at 5:3 transfer rate. Check your Capital One account for the following promotion:

  • Complete your first transfer of Capital One points to JetBlue and get 5,000 bonus JetBlue miles.

Our Verdict

The lowest transfer is 1,000 Capital One points for 600 JetBlue miles and that would work to trigger the bonus points. Most people won’t find the transfer option interesting on the regular rate; with this promo offer you can get 5,600 miles with a 1,000 points transfer for a great deal.

I’m not certain if this offer is showing for everyone; it seems to be widely available. An email went out about it, and people are seeing it in their Capital One login. There is no enrollment for those targeted, AFAIK, just do the transfer and the bonus points should get deposited into your JetBlue account.

A few updates:

  • Currently, the transfer is often not instant and takes a few hours
  • The offer seems to be available for everyone; you have to expand to see it
  • Readers mention that you can do this multiple times if you have more than one card – for each personal and business card separately.

My transfer of 1,000 Cap1 miles on 2/26 showed up as 600 JetBlue miles. 5,000 more miles just posted today (3/27). I didn’t contact JetBlue about it.

Same. I had contacted Cap1 the next day and they had given 2K courtesy points.
Surprised to see 5000 points posed a month later!

@DOC- The offer is now dead, might be worth updating the post. Especially in this case, since it’s a bid hidden where one would need to look to see it’s “no longer available.”

Thanks for another great deal!

I transferred while offer was live and still got just 600 points. Now it says offer not available. Email confirmation is for 600 only. I double/triple checked the offer showed when I clicked on submit.

Same, I am now worried what to do and whom to contact to get my 5k miles extra because I can swear I transferred when I the promo was on. Please let me know if you find any solution, thanks.

Called and got the usual run around. Everything from wait 2 billing cycles, to this is not an offer we know of, have you called Jetblue? to online forums are talking about it but we never had any such promo. All while being on hold every few minutes for 45 for them to research. Finally given 2k Cap1 points to close out the issue.

Any advice on what to say/do to get my bonus? I transferred while promo still active and only got the 600 just like you. They have “submitted a case” for me but they are telling me I won’t hear back for 7-10 business days. But the rep confided in me that right now they are working on January cases still… Nobody I talked to even seemed to have any clue about the promo. Any magic words to say? What seemed to work for you?

Same thing happened here. I didn’t take screen shot but clicked on live offer. So far only 600 points this morning. I guess call?

Successfully did it 2x since I have a VR and VX. When attempting to do it for my wife’s 2 Cap1 cards, the pull down shows that the limited time offer is no longer available. This was around 6pm PST when I tried for my wife’s account..

It took just over 20 minutes for me. I was out of miles and had my partner call to transfer me 1000. Rep kept asking if I had a miles or cash rewards but we both have Venture cards… It was a painful phone call just waiting and waiting for rep to find my account and fund it. When it happened it was instant and I transferred to JB. No mails yet though.

An easy one – miles transferred in about 90 minutes. 1000 for 5600 is a no brainer.

Anything interesting to use 5600 JetBlue miles on? I am on the west coast finding it especially hard.

Depends on where JetBlue flys and where you want to go. 1.3-1.4 cpp value recommended

Check their route map. 5600 is going to cover a cash flight at about roughly 1.5cpp

JetBlue doesn’t fly short-haul from “the west coast” Everything west of New York/Florida only flies to the east coast.

The offer is per card, not just one personal and one business. I transferred once from my VentureX business, and once from my Spark Miles, and I got the 5000 bonus both times already in my JetBlue account, even though those are both business cards.

And an important reminder- since a lot of us probably recently signed up for the Venture with the increased welcome offer, and don’t have any points there yet- Capital One lets you move miles from one card to another (and even to someone else’s Cap1 card). So, you can move 1000 points into the new Venture and then transfer from there, to get the 5000 bonus again.

Confirmed worked for me. I didn’t get an email but the promo showed at the Cap1 Transfer Partners screen. 5,000 bonus points showed up in JetBlue after a few hours

Was wondering what I was going to do with the ~1,000 Capital One points hanging out in my account since I downgraded the Venture X card. Just moved back to the East Coast from the PNW where JetBlue will be of more access to me again, so this worked out perfectly! 5,600 points transferred seamlessly.
