The Offer
- Swagbucks currently has two brokerage deals:
Our Verdict
As far as I know this is the highest both offers have been. Personally not high enough to get me to do the deals, but worth it for some people.

your share redemption was not approved by our board at their September 30 meeting.
When deposits are made with HappyNest, they are investments into an entire real estate portfolio, which are inherently illiquid. We do our best to inform all investors about our 6-month lockout period and our share redemption/withdrawal procedures upon sign-up (see below).
Your requested share redemption will be evaluated by the REIT Board again on December 31st, and, if approved, your requested withdrawal amount will be placed back into your account within 3-5 business days without any fees or penalties involved.

Aren’t they great?
$75 on $1000 for 1 year…I mean, not bad, but the i-bond if you bought before end of April, would have given you $83.70 after 1 year with the 7.1% and the 9.62%.
Heads up about HappyNest… you can “request” withdrawls any time, but they “review” those requests twice a year. Next review period is 9/30. Reminder to read the terms first, admittedly I didn’t but thought I’d mention it as it’s also a first for me to come across a policy like this. Otherwise no complaints about the platform.
They increased the fee to $7.99/MONTH
tl;dr: successful DP. Received SB and lots of Tornado bonus cash without issue, and can confirm Davis ‘s experience: I was able to easily switch to the per trade model and now plan to wait a year then withdraw funds.
4/4/22: Signed up via SB. Transferred in $1k and got a $75 bonus (you can transfer smaller or larger amounts for other bonuses). Also received another $10 promotional reward (I think this is a referral “drawing” where you can win various amounts).
4/5/22: SB went pending (4500SB).
4/7/22: Bought some shares of SOFI (doh).
4/13/22: Charged $5.99 for one month of “30 free trades” service, as expected.
4/20/22: Bought some shares of DIS.
Also Received $50 in “Learn and Earn” money between 4/5/22 and 5/3/22 for logging in and reviewing a few seconds worth of basic investing lessons.
5/11/22: Used the “Support” button in the app to send a message requesting a downgrade to a per-trade fee account, as my strategy is buy and hold and don’t need 30 trades/month. Within hours received a response: “Thank you for reaching out, we are here to help. **Your membership has been canceled per your request.** With this adjustment, you will no longer pay the monthly subscription of $5.99, and each trade will now incur a $4.50 commission. You can opt back in at any time by letting us know here!”
$164.01 for locking up $1k for one year (ignoring my SOFI/DIS purchases; don’t be like me, go the Millennial Outrage route). FYI Jay - ⒿⒶⓨ 🙈 🙉 🙊 this is the DP you were looking for.
Matty Rex Rad! Thanks for the DP.

5/2 – signed up via SB
5/5 – showing 4,500 SB pending with award date of 6/6
Made a couple of token trades into “safe” assets like BIL and MINT. I’ll sell in couple weeks, then message support asking to move to fee-per-trade model before monthly subscription charge. Thanks for the suggestion, Davis !
Oh and FWIW, I had SB text me the link to download Tornado – not sure if that helped tracking.
Thanks for the tag Millennial Outrage . Would be awesome if you could tag me again when your plan to switch to fee-per-trade is confirmed as working, since otherwise it seems too much hassle with the monthly fee deductions to profit from this deal… 🙂
Jay - ⒿⒶⓨ 🙈 🙉 🙊 already confirmed by Matty Rex but wanted to add another confirmation. I emailed support a couple days ago to drop the subscription and they confirmed this morning it’s done.
How did you get them to text you the link?
Edit: nevermind, just use Swagbucks on your desktop to have them text you a link.
Best thing about Tornado is that you can close your account in two clicks after realizing they are just trying to take your money.
The fees on this account promo make the offer unappealing.
If you do Swagbucks, and they honor the terms, thats 45, but there’s a 5.99 fee every month (some posts mention 4.99 but I dont see that on their site – did they go up a dollar?).
If you deposit 1000, you get 75, the funds remain in the account for 1 year. So you lose 72 (assuming the fee is 5.99) and assuming you don’t switch to the fee-per-trade model mentioned by Davis.
You can earn up to 50 from their learn and earn offers, so total net here is about 90-100. Maybe slightly more or less, depending on how the account is handled. To those doing this offer, good luck.
Well, just switch to the per trade model and never use the account until your year is up and you withdraw
I’ve made over $50 on tornado’s learn and earn offers. Really cool!
Happynest is $37.45 rev u swagbucks William Charles
